I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Tennessee. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I have worked in all types of settings, such as intensive in-home, outpatient, and inpatient. I have expertise in women’s issues, life transitions, anxiety and depression. My knowledge and experience in these settings makes me qualified to assist you in these areas.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use this evidence-based approach to help you identify the "thinking traps" fueling symptoms of depression and anxiety. By examining your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors together, we will learn how to replace negative patterns with more balanced, realistic perspectives. We’ll focus on practical, "here-and-now" tools and behavioral changes that directly decrease these symptoms and help you break out of stuck cycles. My goal is to equip you with a personal toolkit of strategies so you can confidently navigate life’s challenges on your own.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

In solution focused therapy, we skip the deep dive into past problems to focus on your strengths and the bright future you’re building. We’ll use the "Miracle Question" to visualize what’s going right and find "exceptions" where you’ve already succeeded, proving you have what it takes to thrive. By using simple 1-to-10 scales, we’ll turn big feelings into manageable, bite-sized steps. Think of me as your partner; you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to help you find the quickest path to change.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In my practice, I provide a warm, non-judgmental space where you are truly heard and accepted exactly as you are. I believe you are the ultimate expert on your own life, so we’ll work as equals to explore your experiences and values at your own pace.
