Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been practicing in a variety of settings for 20 years. I enjoy working with clients and families to build upon skills and resilience that will serve them in their treatment journey. I have extensive experience treating trauma, mood disorders, self harm / suicidal thinking, anxiety and addiction. I believe clients can and should thrive in the therapeutic experience.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first sessions we will do introductions to each other and the overall process. Of course there are lots of questions I will have to ask, but it is also important that the client feels that they can tell their stories in their own voice. We will develop an initial treatment plan together, making sure we have a plan that can demonstrate attainable goals for progress.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I see myself not just as a therapist, but as an advocate and navigator for my clients. I have an Unconditional Positive Regard for clients, and believe it is so important to first understand clients and their stories to better meet their needs. I have built a large toolkit to assist clients in understanding mental illness, building redundant skills and strategies, and ultimately to thrive.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have a passion for working with clients that have complex experiences and needs. Clients often experience a variety of symptoms but have not been able to identify core issues that drive symptoms or develop the specific understanding and skills needed to manage. I appreciate a client who has an openness to learning and a genuine desire to grow.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We utilize a variety of evidence-based tools during the course of therapy, and draw from a variety of additional approaches including Trauma-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic and Solutions-Focused. I have over 20 years of experience in utilizing CBT and have found it is often a key tool in developing a shared language for the therapeutic relationship.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

This model is a wonderful support to a therapeutic work. Clients particularly benefit from the exploration of values as integral to the process.

Motivational Interviewing

This client driven model supports change based on where the client is in the overall change process.

Jeremy is very insightful. He listens well and follows up on things you did not realize he noticed. We are in couples counseling and both of us feel heard and helped.
