Minds are designed for thinking and it is human nature to make connections with others. I am dedicated to helping a client slow down to contemplate, explore, and become self-aware of their own needs, personal well-being, interests, strengths and how to relate to others.
Minds are designed for thinking and it is human nature to make connections with others.
I will help clients create spaces and opportunities to practice emotional regulation, explore difficult situations, provide therapy for previous history of trauma and loss, and begin or continue a healing journey.
First session
I approach my therapeutic work using Strengths Based approach and I will begin our sessions getting to know you to help build positive relationship. We will review the completed assessments, explore your interests, assess coping skills in order to guide and help you empower your individual strengths. I will also help identify your environmental and biopsychosocial supports systems (i.e. your family, friends, your own self-esteem).
Strengths
I am an understanding person and I am not afraid to discuss difficult subjects and can hold heavy emotions with clients. I have multiple years of experience in various areas, so if I have not previously worked within an area of need, I am willing to educate myself to provide the best care.
Ideal clients
My passion is to help clients find and maintain a balance in their lives. Clients are encouraged to find their own passions, joys, and coping skills that promote their own well-being, self-esteem, and positive relationships. I encourage clients to practice exercises outside of therapy sessions. Clients will be encouraged to work with uncomfortable feelings, explore traumas, and confront past memories honestly.
