Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Tennessee. I received my master's from the University of Tennessee along with a certificate for The Treatment of Trauma. I have been practicing for 8 years. I help people of all ages identify their triggers, process their trauma, and learn healthy coping skills and boundaries and how to improve relationships and self-care.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions and reviewing session and service expectations, then dive into the specific challenges you're currently facing. This will help you and I to create a tailored treatment plan with specific goals for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My empathy and ability to help each client feel seen, heard and validated. I aim to create a safe space for healthy and open communication free of judgement, where my clients will always feel accepted and understood.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Learning skills for coping with anxiety and triggers Using cognitive restructuring to change negative thoughts. Managing anger and triggers Preparing for triggers and stress reactions (stress inoculation) Handling future trauma symptoms Addressing relapse prevention and other substance abuse issues Communicating and relating effectively with people (interpersonal skills) Addressing thought distortions that usually follow exposure to trauma Relaxation training and guided imagery

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Three key concepts in person-centered counselling are: Empathic understanding: the counselor trying to understand the client's point of view. Congruence: the counsellor being a genuine person. Unconditional positive regard: the counsellor being non-judgmental.
