Your first counseling session is designed to help us get to know one another and begin building a trusting therapeutic relationship. During this session, we will discuss your current concerns, personal history, and goals for counseling while identifying the best approaches to support your growth, healing, and overall well-being.
My counseling approach is client-centered and tailored to each individual's needs, providing a safe and supportive environment where clients have the space to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. When appropriate, I also offer gentle guidance and evidence-based interventions to encourage deeper processing, insight, and personal growth.
Here's a professional three-sentence description you can use: I am best positioned to serve adolescents, adults, and families who are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, adoption-related concerns, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are motivated to gain insight, develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and overcome obstacles that interfere with personal growth. I work collaboratively with individuals who are ready to heal from past experiences, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.
I identify as
Brainspotting
Brainspotting is integrated into my clinical practice as a focused, brain-based therapeutic approach that helps clients access and process unresolved trauma, emotional distress, and maladaptive patterns that may be stored beyond conscious awareness. By identifying and utilizing specific eye positions associated with emotional activation, Brainspotting supports deeper healing, emotional regulation, and lasting therapeutic change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Here is a professional two-sentence description: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is utilized in my clinical practice to help clients identify and modify negative thought patterns, beliefs, and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress and life difficulties. Through structured interventions and skill-building techniques, clients learn effective coping strategies that promote healthier thinking, improved emotional regulation, and positive behavioral change.
