Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest steps, and I strive to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and build the tools you need to create meaningful, lasting change. I work with those experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, grief, self-esteem concerns, and relationship challenges. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by your past, struggling to cope with the present, or trying to build the future you want, we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, and begin identifying what you would like support with. I want you to have space to share your story in a way that feels comfortable rather than feeling like you have to have the “right” things to say. We will begin exploring your current concerns, your goals, and what you hope to get from therapy. I may also ask questions to better understand how your experiences, relationships, thoughts, and emotions may be affecting you. Most importantly, I hope you leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and comfortable enough to continue the conversation. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so my goal is for you to feel that you have found a safe space where you don’t have to navigate everything alone.

Strengths

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and strengths-based interventions. I believe that healing isn’t about becoming a different person...it’s about reconnecting with the version of yourself that feels whole, empowered, and authentic.

Ideal clients

I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who may be navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship or family concerns, low self-esteem, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of everyday life. I also enjoy supporting individuals who are working through past experiences that continue to affect how they see themselves, relate to others, or navigate the present. My ideal patient is someone who is open to gaining a deeper understanding of themselves and wants therapy to be a space for both reflection and growth. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Whether you are looking for support during a difficult season, wanting to break unhealthy patterns, or simply hoping to feel more confident and connected to yourself, we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing while also learning practical tools that you can use outside of the therapy room.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help patients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns of thinking that may be contributing to distress and work toward developing more balanced and helpful ways of responding. I may also use CBT to help patients challenge negative self-beliefs, manage anxiety or depression, and develop practical coping skills that can be applied in everyday life.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach to help patients recognize the abilities, resources, relationships, values, and personal qualities they already possess. Therapy is not only about identifying what is difficult; it is also about recognizing what is working and building on existing strengths. Together, we can identify how those strengths can be used to navigate challenges, build confidence, and move toward the patient’s goals.

Faith based therapy

When a patient desires to incorporate their faith into therapy, I provide a space where spiritual beliefs and values can be thoughtfully integrated into the therapeutic process. This may include exploring how faith influences the way a patient understands themselves, relationships, difficult experiences, forgiveness, hope, purpose, and personal growth. I respect each patient’s individual beliefs and use faith-based approaches only when they are consistent with the patient’s preferences and therapeutic goals.

Trauma Informed Care

I use a trauma-informed approach by recognizing that a person’s past experiences can influence how they think, feel, relate to others, and respond to situations in the present. I prioritize emotional safety, trust, collaboration, and patient choice throughout the therapeutic process. Rather than making assumptions about a patient’s experiences, I meet each person where they are and move at a pace that feels appropriate for them. My goal is to create a space where patients feel respected, understood, and empowered while developing healthier ways to cope, heal, and move forward.
