Hi there! Michelle is a licensed therapist who helps adults feel supported, understood, and better equipped to manage daily life. She works with clients who may be experiencing anxiety, stress, burnout, life changes, emotional ups and downs, or difficulty setting boundaries. Michelle’s style is warm, compassionate, direct, and supportive. She works with clients to help them better understand themselves, build coping skills, manage emotions, and take small, meaningful steps toward healthier patterns. Michelle may be a good fit for clients who are new to counseling and want a space where they can feel heard, supported, and guided as they work toward personal growth. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling. She brings a strong, well-rounded clinical background shaped by years of experience serving adults, children, adolescents, military families, and diverse communities across multiple states. Her professional experience spans outpatient counseling, community-based mental health support, school-based services, in-home care, and mental health clinic settings. Through these varied roles, Michelle has developed a compassionate, adaptable, and client-centered approach to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful growth. Michelle’s goal is to meet each client with compassion and understanding while encouraging meaningful accountability in the growth process. She helps clients identify what is within their control, strengthen emotional regulation, improve daily functioning, and build practical tools they can use outside of sessions to support lasting change.
In your first session, Michelle will take time to get to know you, understand what brings you to counseling, and learn more about what you hope to gain from the process. This is a time for you to share your current concerns, goals, history, challenges, and any patterns that may be affecting your daily life. Michelle will ask questions to better understand your needs, what has or has not worked for you in the past, and whether her services are the right fit for you. She will also discuss expectations for counseling, the importance of accountability, and practical next steps for moving forward. The first session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, express any concerns, and begin identifying what support, tools, and changes may help you feel more grounded, confident, and supported outside of sessions.
You may experience Michelle’s style as calm, thoughtful, and easy to talk to. She strives to create a space where you feel heard and supported while also being gently challenged to look at patterns, choices, and areas where change is possible. Michelle brings a practical and steady approach to counseling. She helps you slow things down, make sense of what you are experiencing, and identify realistic steps you can take between sessions. Her work is rooted in compassion, honesty, and the belief that meaningful growth happens when you feel both supported and empowered.
Michelle is best positioned to support individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, emotionally drained, or unsure how to manage daily life. She works well with clients experiencing stress, burnout, life transitions, emotional regulation challenges, boundary issues, or patterns that keep repeating. Her approach is compassionate, structured, and direct, with a focus on helping clients build coping skills, healthier routines, emotional awareness, communication skills, and a stronger sense of personal control. Clients who benefit most are open to self-reflection, learning, accountability, and practicing new skills outside of sessions. Michelle may be a good fit for people who want support with understanding themselves, handling emotions, learning helpful tools, and managing everyday life in a healthier way.

Michelle uses a practical and supportive approach to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and choices are connected. In counseling, clients may learn ways to recognize unhelpful thinking patterns, manage stress, handle emotions, set goals, solve problems, stay grounded, and build healthier coping skills for daily life. Clients may also be encouraged to practice skills or complete simple homework between sessions, such as reflection exercises, coping strategies, journaling, or small action steps, to help apply what they are learning in everyday life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Michelle uses a person-centered approach, which means she takes time to understand each client’s unique experiences, needs, strengths, and goals. She works to create a supportive and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, build self-awareness, and move toward healthier choices at their own pace.

When I first tried therapy, I was looking for someone who would be compassionate and easy for me to talk to. Michelle has been that person for me. I look forward to discussing the thoughts that have been occupying my mind, and she has been helping me gain the understanding and solutions I need to navigate these challenges.

My first session with Michelle went really well. She was warm, attentive, and asked great questions that helped her get a good understanding of me in a short amount of time. I appreciated her direct approach and I’m looking forward to our future sessions.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but once we really got into the session, Michelle really pulled me in. The questions she asked, the way she listened, and the way she challenged what I said were exactly what I didn't know I needed. She was direct but in a way that I could appreciate. It didn't allow me to bs my responses. I needed this.
