Porcia Seals
Welcome! I’m Porcia Seals, founder of Vision Space Therapy and Wellness Center. I support women navigating anxiety, depression, grief, stress, relationship concerns, and life transitions. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership where we work together to understand your experiences and identify what you need to move forward.
I support women through anxiety, life transitions, and the challenges of caring for others while learning to care for themselves.
My approach draws from humanistic, existential, and strengths-based perspectives. My faith in God also shapes how I understand healing, resilience, and personal growth. I believe every woman deserves a space where she feels seen and understood. My hope is to help you reconnect with yourself and discover what a meaningful and fulfilling life looks like for you.
First session
The first session offers an opportunity to build a connection and begin establishing trust. We will explore what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. There is no pressure to share everything at once or arrive with all the answers. Gentle questions help clarify your concerns and identify areas where support may be helpful. The focus is on understanding your needs and creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we will begin discussing your goals and what you would like to work toward. You can expect a warm and supportive conversation that honors your experiences. The hope is that you leave feeling heard and more hopeful about the possibilities ahead.
Strengths
I bring warmth, compassion, and an open mind to each session. I take time to understand your perspective and tailor our work to your needs. My goal is to create a space where you can speak openly and feel comfortable being yourself. You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Together, we explore challenges and build on the strengths you already have. I also value the connection between emotional, relational, and spiritual well-being. When meaningful to you, we can explore how faith and spirituality support your healing. I want our work to feel collaborative and purposeful, giving you room to reflect, gain clarity, and make changes that align with the life you want to create.
Ideal clients
The ideal client is a woman navigating life's challenges while seeking a deeper understanding of herself. She may be managing anxiety, feeling overwhelmed by daily responsibilities, adjusting to motherhood, caring for loved ones, or moving through a significant life transition. Perhaps she has spent so much time showing up for others that she has lost touch with her own needs. She may feel uncertain about where to begin or what needs to change. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down and reflect without judgment. Together, we explore her experiences and identify what matters most to her. The goal is to help her reconnect with her values, build confidence, and create a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Sometimes, the way we think about ourselves and our experiences can affect how we feel and respond to life's challenges. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you recognize these patterns and explore new ways of thinking and responding. Together, we may work on challenging negative self-talk, managing anxious thoughts, and developing practical coping strategies. The goal is to help you feel more confident in navigating difficult emotions and everyday stressors. You will have opportunities to practice these skills in your daily life and discover what works best for you.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to show up as yourself without fear of judgment. This approach centers your experiences, feelings, and values while honoring your unique journey. Sessions offer room to explore what matters to you, better understand your needs, and reconnect with the person you want to be. Rather than being told what to do, you are supported in discovering your own insights and direction. The goal is to help you feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow at a pace that feels right for you.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
When life feels overwhelming, it can be difficult to slow down and recognize what you need. Mindfulness-based therapy helps you become more aware of your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses without judging yourself for what you experience. Sessions may include grounding exercises, mindful breathing, and other practices that help you feel more present. These tools can support you in managing stress, navigating difficult emotions, and responding to challenges with greater intention. Over time, you can develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself and create space to pause, reflect, and care for your well-being.
Strength-Based
Even during difficult seasons, you bring strengths, experiences, and resources that can support your growth. Strength-based therapy helps you recognize these qualities and build on what is already within you. Together, we explore the ways you have navigated challenges, the values that guide you, and the skills you can draw on moving forward. This approach is not about overlooking your struggles. It is about recognizing the whole of who you are beyond them. The goal is to help you build confidence, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward greater balance and well-being.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
Sometimes, knowing where to begin can feel like the hardest part of making a change. Solution-Focused Brief Therapy helps you clarify what you want for yourself and identify small, meaningful steps toward your goals. Sessions explore what is already working, the strengths you can draw on, and the possibilities that may feel within reach. You do not have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Together, we can identify what matters most to you and build on the progress you make along the way.
