Hello, I am so glad you are reaching out. It takes courage to ask for help and I know that is not always easy and I am proud of you for taking the first step! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 21 years of counseling experience. I am here to support you on your journey towards mental health and well-being. I provide a safe and compassionate space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My clients often struggle with the "unknowns" of life and I like to help people feel more comfortable with the unknown and to trust the process of life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will explore your history and how you got to be where you are today. I like to learn about where you grew up, your family and your life currently. We will establish and review therapy goals, and discuss your current concerns. I always ask: what do I need to know about you in order to best help you?

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my biggest strengths as a therapist are my authenticity, empathy, patience and ability to actively listen to my clients. I have a genuine interest in understanding their emotions and experiences, which helps me build trust and rapport. I provide a calm and compassionate demeanor which creates a safe space for clients to open up and share thoughts and feelings.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize this theory of counseling in every session to listen without judgment, acknowledge your experience, and help you understand and accept your frame of mind.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Using the CBT framework helps clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and negative beliefs to manage anxiety, stress, and depression. We will use this to identify how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors impact each other. We can then use this information to reframe your thought patterns to help reduce anxiety and stress.

Adlerian

Adlerian therapy techniques emphasize collaboration, insight, self-awareness and encouragement. By understanding and reorienting deep-seated beliefs and patterns, individuals are empowered to live more purposeful and socially connected lives.
