LCSW, 9 years of experience
I work with adults who are struggling with effects of trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, anger, and other issues. I want to provide a safe and supportive space for you to grow as you work toward your goals. Whatever situation you find yourself facing, you have value and worth. As a therapist, I have practiced in medical, in-home, and outpatient settings. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
In the first session, I usually let you take some time to share what is going on in your life, and what challenges you are facing. I want to spend time getting to know you as we begin working together.
I have worked with clients on many different issues, and have found that I work well those dealing with anxiety and depression, those dealing with effects from trauma, grief, and other life stressors such as moving, breakups, and other changes.
I work with adults of all ages who are comfortable meeting through telehealth. Currently I am seeing clients primarily on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during daytime hours.

Tyler is truly one of the most relaxed, nice, empathetic people I have ever spoken to. He makes sure I feel comfortable and safe, he makes opening up a little easier and gives you room to feel, talk and meets you where you are

Tyler was really easy to talk with and be open to. He understands that things may be difficult to talk about, and is very caring when a topic is not easy to deal with and when emotions come with certain topics. I look forward to talking with him again in the future.

Tyler is very nice. He makes you feel comfortable and secure as you are talking. He listens intently, asks questions to gain further understanding, makes you think, gives you great perspective. He is incredibly patient and doesn't push you to do anything you aren't ready for. Can't say enough good things!
I am trained in EMDR and have found this modality to be helpful in a virtual setting to treat trauma. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about it!
I find CBT to be a very logical approach to therapy, and often incorporate this into sessions.
Grief can be challenging in many ways. I have worked with children and adults of all ages grieving various losses.
Some clients I see need a safe and supportive place to process challenges that they are dealing with, and I work to offer that setting.
Education about how our mind and bodies are working can help empower us to cope with life's challenges.
