Welcome, I’m Megan! I applaud you for taking time to prioritize yourself. I am eager to learn about your journey thus far and work with you to achieve the life you hope to have. The desire for a better quality of life is wonderful to have and something you deserve.
I strive to meet each client where they are at when they join sessions and approach conversations under a judgement-free lens. As a team, we can develop coping skills, enhance problem-solving abilities, and create a future more in line with your values.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my graduate degree at Villanova University and my undergraduate degree at Saint Joseph’s University. I work with adults who experience relational struggles, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, recovery maintenance, and mood disorders. I commonly integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing into my practice. In addition to looking at a person’s mental wellness, I also explore other aspects of wellness (e.g., social, physical, and environmental wellness) as this assists in treating the whole self. Beyond bringing my professional knowledge to sessions, I bring my personal experiences through self-disclosure when helpful.
My overall therapeutic approach is genuine and empathetic, with a focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship. I thoughtfully weave together evidence-based practices with the hope that your treatment feels tailored to your needs. In my sessions, the therapist and client are both experts. I enjoy assisting people with discovering passions, highlighting strengths, heightening motivation, and achieving overall self acceptance. I want everyone to leave my sessions feeling they deserve to be seen, heard, loved, understood, accepted, and celebrated.
