I have worked in the treatment since i was 36 and have 35 years of experience. My early experience was in the drug and alcohol and relapse prevention field. During that time i attended the Gestalt Institute in Cleveland, Ohio where I took 4 years of intense training. This lead me to find that therapy is not a method for me to figure out the client but a means for the client to gain greater self-awareness in facing their own life aspirations and struggles. I place focus on clients’ somatic awareness, especially breath, so being more in their body so they can try on new physical and intellectual styles in facing their world. I have a lot of knowledge about what is called the 12 step process and have melded together spirituality and religion in my own life. Prior to being a counselor/ therapist i taught school, painted steel bridges and other structures, and was a machinist at a large steel company, that like the many in our area have since closed their shops.

Hello! Welcome to my site, my name is Ryan Brooks Leslie, licensed professional counselor and registered art therapist. I'm glad you found me here. There are few situations in life which are comparable to being in therapy; A helping relationship based on mutual respect, honesty, humility, educated/objective guidance, and genuine connection, in order for you to better navigate this thing we call "life". Being able to say anything, without fear of judgment, reproach, or rejection can allow you to truly face the obstacles that separate you from happiness and freedom; to be the best and most fulfilled version of yourself. I have spent the better part of 18 years educating myself and honing my counseling skills to people in this endeavor, and I must say I love being a therapist and have great confidence in my therapeutic skills and their benefit to you. I am experienced in addictions, trauma (EMDR- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, improving social skills, existential life issues and transitions. I have found that it is often a combination of forces within and without of ourselves that create our unique situations that we need help with. While I have many methods to facilitate processing (talking, art therapy, mindfulness, EMDR), I believe that you are the expert of your unique story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming the challenges of your life. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I commend you for your effort and I am here to support, empower and be a fellow traveler on your journey. "The most powerful thing in the world, is an idea whose time has come"- Victor Hugo

Working with clients who have experienced immense trauma is such meaningful work that I am so grateful to be a part of. My clinical passions are centered around helping individuals build their self-worth, challenge thinking traps, and manage mental health symptoms through coping mechanisms. The most rewarding circumstances for me are helping clients to reclaim their strengths and their story, while working towards fostering a healthy environment of love and acceptance for their selves. Hello, my name is Elizabeth DeLullo and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania. One of the best things about coming to therapy is the amount of courage it took for you to get here. There is nothing I dislike more than to see human suffering. I have gone through my own and was determined to not let it ruin my life. Therapy is a collaboration between client and therapist and together we will focus on your strengths and help you understand your worthiness was never in question. Other times you may require more skills and techniques to learn in order to overcome your concerns and issues. My primary focus is anxiety, depression, self esteem, phobias, fears, women's issues, OCD symptoms, agoraphobia, and finding meaning to life and answer questions like, why am I here? I also volunteered at a Hospice and did my internship there and have knowledge in grief and bereavement therapies. I have also worked with incarcerated individuals going in and out of the prison system. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Ashford University and my Masters in Science In Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. I have over 11 years experience working with people from age 4 to 89. I am blessed as these people taught me so much and I love the work I do. I am of the belief that the way we think directly affects the way we feel. I also use a person centered approach, meaning I follow my client's lead and the direction they wish to take. The great thing is, is that there are so many different sets of skills and interventions to utilize, we will work together to find the ones that work best for you. It all depends on each individual's specific needs and wants.

Hello. I look forward to working with you. My own background is one of growing up on farms, having little money and ambitious dreams. I did not know what it was but I knew I wanted to go to college and get out of the tobacco fields around me. My dreams came true. I ended up being a psychologist and a teacher, spending decades working in residential treatment then in schools, the last 13 years working with preschoolers and their families to prepare them to succeed in school. As a teacher, I taught many college and university courses as well as workshops, most recently to address grief and trauma. In the early 1990's, I felt led to live and work at or near the world center of Quakers called Pendle Hill in PA. There I studied and taught Arts and Spirituality while also serving as a Psychologist in nearby schools. I came to see the importance of Co-Creativity (creating together a piece of life we truly want to live for). My specialties in the Arts have been writing, visual arts and dancing/movement from a "no wrong way" perspective. I incorporate these into the therapy process as they become beneficial. For much of my life, I have also been engaged with my own therapeutic process. Having been the client for several years, gives me the perspective of what might be important to you as we work together, never assuming I know or forgetting to ask you. In our sessions, I want to hear about you, find our starting points and from there develop action plans each session to work on the goals needed to find the life you dream of and are willing to work toward.

A plan, specific actions and personalized strategies - This is what I give my clients to help them get unstuck, overcome suffering, and fully enjoy the important things in their life. The Bible, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and neuropsychology - The sources of wisdom I use to guide our plans and strategies. When life throws you for a loop, your mind and emotions are overwhelming and don't make sense, and you don't know what to do, you need someone who understands the mind and emotions, and how to tame them. I'm Dr. Matt Bridgman. I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a husband and father, and a clinical psychologist and board certified neuropsychologist. I have a Master's degree in Christian Leadership and a PhD in Clinical Psychology, both from Fuller Theological Seminary. I've been studying the human mind (mood, emotions, behavior, cognition) for over 20 years, through the lenses of God's Word and neuropsychology. I've helped thousands of people with mood/emotion and also cognitive troubles coming from many sources: depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, concussions and traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, stroke, and numerous other mental health, neurological, and physical health conditions. I've worked in community counseling centers, inpatient psychiatry units, big academic medical centers, small community hospitals, outpatient behavioral health clinics, neurology clinics, inpatient physical rehabilitation units, and VA medical centers. I'm excited now to be helping others through my own private practice. I help my clients not just through empathy and good listening, but through helping them understand their own mind better. I guide them through shaping and training their mind, overcoming suffering, and thriving in the process of it all.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Pennsylvania rather than a city like Philadelphia?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Pennsylvania from Pittsburgh to Scranton! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Pennsylvania.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on Spirituality?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need. For example, your selected specialty, Spirituality, is filtering therapists in Pennsylvania that work with patients with similar concerns.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs.

Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
