Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, supportive therapeutic relationship. During this session, you can expect: An introduction to your therapist and the counseling process. A review of confidentiality, office policies, and what to expect from therapy. A discussion of your goals, concerns, and expectations for treatment. The beginning of a comprehensive assessment, where your therapist will gather information about your personal history, current challenges, strengths, and overall well-being. Time to ask questions and discuss any concerns you may have about the therapy process. The first session is designed to help us better understand your needs so we can work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that supports your goals.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I strive to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. My approach combines compassion with honesty, helping clients feel supported while also challenging them to grow. I believe therapy should be both insightful and practical, so each session is designed to provide tools and strategies that clients can immediately apply in their daily lives. My experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families allows me to tailor treatment to each person's unique needs. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or life transitions, I focus on helping clients build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, develop healthier coping skills, and increase resilience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who is ready to invest in personal growth, even if they're unsure where to begin. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, low self-esteem, or feeling emotionally stuck. They recognize that their current way of coping is no longer working and are looking for healthier ways to move forward. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who want to improve communication, strengthen relationships, heal from past experiences, and build emotional resilience. I also have a passion for supporting men as they navigate emotional wellness, identity, relationships, and the unique pressures they often face. The clients who benefit most from my approach are open to self-reflection, willing to learn new skills, and committed to applying what they learn between sessions. Therapy is a collaborative process, and together we work to identify barriers, build on strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change that extends beyond the therapy room.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the primary approaches I use to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier ways of responding to life's challenges. Through practical exercises and real-life application, CBT helps clients build effective coping skills, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and create lasting positive change.

Couples Counseling

I provide couples counseling to help partners strengthen their relationship by improving communication, rebuilding trust, resolving conflict, and deepening emotional connection. My approach creates a safe, balanced space where both individuals feel heard, understood, and respected while working toward shared goals. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy, I view relationship challenges through a systemic lens, recognizing how individual experiences, family dynamics, attachment patterns, and communication styles influence the relationship. Together, we identify unhealthy patterns, develop practical relationship skills, and foster healthier ways of connecting so couples can build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

I use EFT to help clients identify the deeper feelings and unmet needs that often drive conflict, anxiety, and disconnection. By increasing emotional awareness and fostering secure, healthy connections, clients learn to communicate more openly, strengthen relationships, and create lasting emotional change.
