(she/her)
My name is Meghan and I am a licensed professional counselor in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and owner of Inner Light Counseling & Wellness. I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, difficult life transitions, stress, and recover from narcissistic abuse. Together, we'll identify areas of focus and set goals that matter to you, such as building self-esteem, improving relationships, and breaking unhealthy habits. My clients describe me as warm, honest, and direct. My therapeutic approach combines elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems to meet your unique needs. My goal is to help clients deepen self-awareness, build emotional balance, and create meaningful, lasting change. For the mind, we will work on emotional insight, unhealthy thinking patterns, and negative core beliefs. For the body, we will integrate somatic awareness, deep breathing, and nervous system support. For the spirit, we will discuss your overall health and wellness, finding your purpose, and connecting with your true self. Taking that first step toward a more fulfilling, balanced life takes courage, and you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to guide and empower you through each phase of your journey.
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your background, history, and what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your goals and expectations. I want you to feel comfortable and safe in every session, so you are in control of what you want to share with me.
I believe in an integrative approach to counseling to heal the mind, body, and spirit. I believe you are the expert of your story and the potential for change is already inside of you! My goal is to help empower you on your healing journey.
At Inner Light Counseling & Wellness, I help adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected find clarity, balance, and confidence. My approach blends practical tools with holistic care so you can feel grounded, authentic, and whole. I commonly work with: • Anxiety and overthinking • ADHD and neurodivergence • Burnout and chronic stress • People-pleasing • Difficulty with consistency, routines, or follow-through I am not the best fit for individuals seeking intensive trauma processing, intensive support, or crisis-focused care, but I’m happy to help connect you with appropriate resources or providers if needed.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I practice trauma-informed CBT. We explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors along with trying to understand the basis of perceived struggles.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you explore the different “parts” of yourself: the inner voices, patterns, and emotions that often pull you in competing directions. Together, we will explore how to understand and heal the different parts within you.
Attachment-based
Attachment Theory explores how early relationships shape the way you connect, trust, and love in adulthood. In therapy, we identify your attachment patterns and learn to create secure, balanced relationships with others and with yourself.
Somatic
Somatic Therapy helps you reconnect with your body to release stored stress and trauma. By tuning into physical sensations, you learn to regulate your nervous system and feel safe in your body again.
