Hi, my name is Stacey Strehle, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing online therapy across the state of Pennsylvania. I have been working in the mental health field since 2002 and have experience working with children, adults and families in a variety of settings. In my practice I believe everyone is unique and therapy should be personalized to meet you where you are and utilize your strengths and experiences so that we can work towards your goals. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. While integrating evidence-based techniques into my sessions, I also focus on you as a whole person addressing the mind and the body so that you can achieve your goals, increase your confidence and feel empowered in your daily life. I am accepting and compassionate to all and can provide faith-based counseling at your request.
First and foremost these sessions are for you, it's your time and I want to ensure that you are receiving the best care possible. I won't bore you with psychobabble and tend to be conversational and down to earth in sessions. We will work together to recognize your strengths and use the skills you already have to help you feel more confident to deal with any issues. I'm on this journey with you, to listen, support and teach new skills so you can have the quality of life that you deserve. It's important for me that you feel validated and supported in this journey so I am open to any questions that you might have along the way.
It is important for me to treat each person as an individual using a person-centered approach to help equip and empower you to face the challenges that brought you into counseling. There is no one format that I stick to as I feel people benefit from various types of methods which I will integrate into our sessions. I utilize various methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional (CIMHP) which is to say I treat the whole person- mind, body and soul. I like to be flexible in my treatment so that I can better support you and your individual needs.
I feel like my biggest strength is helping people feel comfortable to share their stories in a non-judgmental, accepting and compassionate environment. It's important for me that you feel comfortable being open, knowing that you can be yourself and that together, we can achieve your goals. I value your time and want to ensure that everyone, no matter what circumstance brings you to therapy, is seen and heard, validated, and supported in their personal growth.
