Hello, I’m Angela. I support women in midlife who feel lost, stuck, or invisible after spending decades caring for others. Whether you’re preparing for an empty nest, adjusting to life after your children have left, or rediscovering who you are in this next chapter, you’re not alone. Many of my clients arrive feeling burned out, uncertain about the future, and unsure of who they are now that their roles have shifted. You may have spent years putting others first — as a mother, partner, caregiver, or professional — only to realize you don’t quite know what you want anymore. Together, we’ll create space to process that loss, reawaken your sense of self, and build a life that reflects your values, strengths, and desires — not just your responsibilities.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

This is a collaborative space; there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. Whether you’re coming with a clear issue or just a deep sense that something isn’t working anymore, we’ll work at your pace. Together we will: * Identify what matters most to you, even if that feels unclear right now * Explore patterns, blocks, and emotional wounds gently and without judgment * Build practical tools to improve communication, boundaries, and coping * Reconnect with what brings you joy, fulfillment, and peace Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and set the foundation for our work together. I'll ask questions to learn more about your history and the specific goals you hope to achieve. This will allow us to tailor our work to your unique needs and aspirations, creating a clear path forward for our therapeutic journey. Making the Most of Our Sessions Taking the step to seek support is an empowering act of self-care. It demonstrates your commitment to your own growth and well-being. Throughout our sessions, you’ll find a compassionate ally dedicated to helping you thrive personally and professionally. We will explore your challenges, uncover insights, and build strategies to support your goals. I encourage you to take notes during our sessions. These notes can serve as valuable reminders of the breakthroughs, reflections, and insights we uncover, helping to solidify those moments of clarity and self-discovery. The Importance of Work Between Sessions While our time together in session is valuable, personal growth often happens outside our meetings. Just as learning a new skill requires practice, so does the work we do in therapy. I may suggest exercises, reflections, or other resources to help you process and apply what we've discussed in your everyday life. These “between-session” activities are essential to the therapeutic process and allow you to integrate your insights into real-world situations. I always meet you where you are, working at a pace and level of comfort that feels right for you. Our work together will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences, and we will adjust as necessary to ensure it’s both manageable and meaningful. If you have any questions or concerns about the work outside of our sessions or anything we’re discussing, please feel free to bring them up. Your feedback is always welcome and important to me as we collaborate on your journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space through active listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. In this supportive environment, you’re encouraged to explore your thoughts and emotions with an ally by your side. I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, orientations, religions, and cultures. My practice is rooted in respect, compassion, and inclusivity. While my work primarily focuses on supporting those who identify with women’s issues, including those who use she/her pronouns or have lived experiences traditionally associated with womanhood, I recognize and honor the diversity of gender identity. If you identify as nonbinary, gender-expansive, or use they/them pronouns and feel that the themes I focus on resonate with your experiences, you are absolutely welcome here. For simplicity, this document may use the term “women,” but this is intended to be inclusive of anyone navigating similar concerns related to identity, caregiving, relationships, life transitions, or cultural expectations often linked to women’s roles. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Please provide as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling your session, so that the time may be offered to another client. If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to attend with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $75 fee will be automatically charged to the card on file. SERVICES I DO NOT PROVIDE * Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters: Contact an online ESA provider. * Assessments for physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, severe psychiatric disorders, or substance use disorders. Contact a licensed psychologist, vocational rehabilitation office, or your PCP. * Short-Term Disability/FMLA Forms: Contact your PCP. * Child Custody, Reunification, or Legal Advice: Contact a forensic psychologist, a reunification specialist, or the Women's Law Project. * Eating Disorder Treatment: Contact an outpatient treatment center or therapist specializing in this area.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I specialize in helping midlife women and empty nest moms who are asking: “What’s next for me now that the kids are gone?” “Why do I feel so lost? I should be enjoying this stage.” “I don’t know who I am anymore without being needed daily.” “I want to feel excited about life again, but I don’t even know what I like.” Support for Other Life Transitions While my primary focus is midlife women and the empty nest experience, I also support women through other major transitions, including: * Pregnancy and postpartum adjustment * Career changes and second-act careers * Relationship shifts — separation, divorce, redefinition * Burnout recovery and boundary setting * Redefining purpose after caregiving If you're navigating change and feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected, therapy can offer a grounding space to process, heal, and grow.
