Hello, I’m Angela. I support women in midlife who feel lost, stuck, or invisible after spending decades caring for others. Whether you’re preparing for an empty nest, adjusting to life after your children have left, or rediscovering who you are in this next chapter, you’re not alone. Many of my clients arrive feeling burned out, uncertain about the future, and unsure of who they are now that their roles have shifted. You may have spent years putting others first — as a mother, partner, caregiver, or professional — only to realize you don’t quite know what you want anymore. Together, we’ll create space to process that loss, reawaken your sense of self, and build a life that reflects your values, strengths, and desires — not just your responsibilities.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

This is a collaborative space; there’s no pressure to have it all figured out. Whether you’re coming with a clear issue or just a deep sense that something isn’t working anymore, we’ll work at your pace. Together we will: * Identify what matters most to you, even if that feels unclear right now * Explore patterns, blocks, and emotional wounds gently and without judgment * Build practical tools to improve communication, boundaries, and coping * Reconnect with what brings you joy, fulfillment, and peace Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and set the foundation for our work together. I'll ask questions to learn more about your history and the specific goals you hope to achieve. This will allow us to tailor our work to your unique needs and aspirations, creating a clear path forward for our therapeutic journey. Making the Most of Our Sessions Taking the step to seek support is an empowering act of self-care. It demonstrates your commitment to your own growth and well-being. Throughout our sessions, you’ll find a compassionate ally dedicated to helping you thrive personally and professionally. We will explore your challenges, uncover insights, and build strategies to support your goals. I encourage you to take notes during our sessions. These notes can serve as valuable reminders of the breakthroughs, reflections, and insights we uncover, helping to solidify those moments of clarity and self-discovery. The Importance of Work Between Sessions While our time together in session is valuable, personal growth often happens outside our meetings. Just as learning a new skill requires practice, so does the work we do in therapy. I may suggest exercises, reflections, or other resources to help you process and apply what we've discussed in your everyday life. These “between-session” activities are essential to the therapeutic process and allow you to integrate your insights into real-world situations. I always meet you where you are, working at a pace and level of comfort that feels right for you. Our work together will be tailored to your individual needs and preferences, and we will adjust as necessary to ensure it’s both manageable and meaningful. If you have any questions or concerns about the work outside of our sessions or anything we’re discussing, please feel free to bring them up. Your feedback is always welcome and important to me as we collaborate on your journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a trauma-informed, strengths-based therapist, I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space through active listening, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. In this supportive environment, you’re encouraged to explore your thoughts and emotions with an ally by your side. Over the years, I’ve supported clients through a wide range of life transitions and challenges, from addiction recovery and justice involvement to parenting under extreme stress and navigating job loss or housing instability. I’ve worked with clients seeking to reclaim their confidence after toxic relationships or work cultures, and those navigating impostor syndrome. These experiences shape the inclusive, nonjudgmental space I offer today. I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, orientations, religions, and cultures. My practice is rooted in respect, compassion, and inclusivity. While my work primarily focuses on supporting those who identify with women’s issues, including those who use she/her pronouns or have lived experiences traditionally associated with womanhood, I recognize and honor the diversity of gender identity. If you identify as nonbinary, gender-expansive, or use they/them pronouns and feel that the themes I focus on resonate with your experiences, you are absolutely welcome here. For simplicity, this document may use the term “women.” Still, it is intended to be inclusive of anyone navigating similar concerns related to identity, caregiving, relationships, life transitions, or cultural expectations often associated with women’s roles. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Late Cancellations & No-Shows: Please provide as much notice as possible when canceling or rescheduling your session, so that the time may be offered to another client. If you cancel, reschedule, or fail to attend with less than 24 hours’ notice, a $75 fee will be automatically charged to the card on file. SERVICES I DO NOT PROVIDE * Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters: Contact an online ESA provider. * Assessments for physical disabilities, cognitive disabilities, severe psychiatric disorders, or substance use disorders. Helping Women Navigate Life’s Transitions with Clarity and Compassion I support women who are navigating the emotional weight of life transitions, whether it’s the quiet of an empty nest, the chaos of new motherhood, or the uncertainty of starting over. While I specialize in helping midlife women and empty nesters rediscover their identity and purpose, my practice is open to all women seeking support during times of change. You might be wondering: “Who am I now that I’m not needed every day?” “Why do I feel so lost when I thought I’d feel free?” “What do I even enjoy anymore?” “How do I move forward when everything feels unfamiliar?” These questions are more common than you think—and you don’t have to answer them alone. I support women through: Midlife transitions and identity shifts Empty nest adjustment and rediscovery Burnout, career changes, and second-act reinvention Relationship changes: divorce, separation, or new parenthood Pregnancy, postpartum, and evolving motherhood roles Grief, loss, and redefining purpose after caregiving Estrangement or emotional distance from adult children Loving someone in recovery or navigating family addiction If you’re searching for a therapist who understands the emotional complexity of being a woman in transition, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll create space for healing, clarity, and reconnection with yourself and your life.
