Do you have a habit of taking care of everyone but yourself (your adorable animal companions included)? Are you having trouble creating space in your life to feel calm and find fulfillment? I help individuals looking to improve their relationships, mood, and overall life satisfaction. My approach to therapy focuses on building health, resilience, and connection – helping you move toward a life that feels vibrant and authentic. Together, we will focus on your strengths and potential for growth. I believe that healing is about more than fixing what is wrong. It’s about nurturing what’s already right! Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you. In this process, I will provide a warm and accepting space with plenty of opportunities for you to develop the tools you need to thrive. Being in animal rescue for the past 8+ years and a photographer for the past 12+ years has given me a unique perspective on therapy. You can expect to be encouraged to use your creative skills and compassion in your journey to wellbeing. Congratulations on taking this step to be your best self, and know that I would be honored to help you move toward healing and growth.
In our first session together, we'll start with introductions. Then, we can explore the specific challenges you’re experiencing. We will collaborate on a plan for follow-up sessions that looks at ways to tackle the difficulties you identified.
As a clinician, my greatest strength lies in my ability to connect with clients in a way that helps them feel safe to explore their diverse life experiences with gentle curiosity. Beyond creating positive connections, I thrive on helping clients lean into their creativity as a tool to propel them toward achieving their identified goals.
Life transitions can be hard, but I love working with emerging adults (18-29) who are learning to navigate all of life’s transitions. All you need is an eagerness to grow. I am here to help you find the tools to do so. Beyond the typical life transitions experienced by emerging adults, I additionally have a passion for working with individuals grieving the loss of their animal companions. Having been in animal rescue for the past 8+ years allows me to be uniquely positioned to help clients navigate this grieving experience and transition to life without their companion.
Using Person-Centered Therapy techniques helps to support the accepting, non-judgmental space I strive to create for each client. Together we'll explore your feelings and experiences at your own pace. In this time, my role will be to provide support while collaborating with you and empowering you to live a more fulfilling life.
Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral techniques, I will help you build your toolbox of strategies to support positive change in your life. Part of this is helping you identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that are leaving you feeling drained.
I understand life can get busy, and we do not always have the ability to invest in long-term treatment. That doesn't mean we shouldn't get help. It just means we might need to tailor your care. Solution Focused Brief Therapy is all about emphasizing solutions as well as uncovering what is already working in your life instead of dwelling on problems. I will be here to guide and support you in uncovering your potential and creating meaningful change with practical tools you will be able to take beyond your therapy session.
We all have unique strengths, abilities, and the resilience to overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. Through my strength-based approach, I will help you gain insight on how to leverage your skills and strengths to create lasting change that will go beyond our work together. It is my hope that uncovering your abilities will help provide much-needed confidence to take control of your journey.
