Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session I would provide you the space to share who you are and what you are looking for in therapy. We will work together to create a treatment plan that best addresses your needs. I would also take the time to start building a rapport and getting to know more about who you are as an individual.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have over 15 years of working in behavioral health fields and I found that treatment needs are individualized. I am great at providing a calm, confidential, respectful, supportive, and therapeutic environment for my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

There are times when our world seems overwhelming, and we could benefit from contact in a judgment free and therapeutic environment. Regardless of the stressors that could be contributing to anxiety, depression, lack of motivate, reduced self-worth, or grief; it's important to be heard. My goal will be to work collaboratively with you to help you learn how to dance through these storms.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilized CBT therapy to help clients identify and understand unhealthy and unhelpful ways of thinking. It is easy to get wrapped up in racing thoughts and self-blaming activities associated with depression and anxiety. I acknowledged that not all clients understand where these negative thoughts come from. We will work together to gain a better understanding of those thoughts and how to build a better sense of self.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I assist client with learning grounding techniques that can be utilized outside of therapy. Mindfulness skills are also utilized to help client gain a greater sense of self. Understanding our greatest strengths are found within ourselves is important when I work with clients.

Strength-Based

We all have strengths but at times it can be difficult to acknowledge or utilize. I assist client with recognizing their strengths, how they used them in the past and how we continue to build on strengths. Building of self-worth is important aspect of working with clients. It is also important to utilize self-affirming language. It is important to me that clients understand they are the experts in their story.
