Hi, I'm Jenn, an LPC/NCC (Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor) located in Pennsylvania. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Messiah University and have been practicing for 13 years. I like to support people who may be struggling with anxiety, self-esteem. self worth issues, ADHD, or depression so they can find ways to take care of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greates strength as a provider would be my ability to be non-judgemental. It is so important for people to feel they are provided a safe space where they can be themselves and be comfortable. My goal is always to make sure my client feels heard, understood, and valued.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love to work to with teens and adults who are going throug different life adjustments and are looking for someone to support them through these difficult times. I prefer to look at issues with the client so that they do not feel isolated and empower them to make their own decisions. I maintain a small caseload so I am able to focus on the client needs and have many clients are committed to change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a great starting point for many clients. In this practice you will set measurable goals, learn new coping skills, and find ways to reward the behaviors as they change.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is an effective tool for a variety of issues people generally struggle with. Dialectical perspective can help individuals think, feel and behave in a balanced way. That learn to accept things as they are and recognize the need to change things including ourselves. It is also effective at helping to reduce polarized thinking.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

This practice helps with overall stress reduction, prevention of depression, and increase self awareness. Mindfulness, meditation, breath work, body scans, and somatic work are incorporated.

Integrative

This practice includes techniques from CBT, psychodynamic, humanistic and Eastern practices. The focus is on wellness-mind, body, and spirit. Practices include relaxation techniques, somatic work, yoga, and nutrition for overall well being.
