Hi, I’m Kris. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with training in EMDR and a deep commitment to creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and supported. Outside of my work, I love traveling with my family, getting lost in a good book on my front porch, and finding ways to be creative. I bring that same sense of curiosity, connection, and care into my work—because I believe healing happens best when we feel safe, supported, and truly ourselves.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
I understand that starting therapy can feel scary or even overwhelming and that’s completely normal. In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, and I’ll gather some basic information to better understand your needs. My goal is to help you feel as comfortable as possible, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where people feel truly seen, supported, and empowered. I bring a balance of empathy and clinical skill to my work, offering practical tools while also holding space for deeper healing and self-exploration. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, grounded in authenticity and connection
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I’m passionate about working with women, the LGBTQ+ community and their families, and anyone navigating grief, anxiety, depression, or life’s everyday challenges. I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process—together, we’ll explore what’s beneath the surface, build practical tools for healing, and move at a pace that feels right for you.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Collaborating with clients to recognize and reframe thought patterns that may be hindering progress toward their personal goals.
EMDR
EMDR is used when a client is struggling to move forward after a traumatic event, helping to rapidly process and reduce the emotional impact of the memory.
Gender-affirming therapy
I provide support people in exploring their identity. I often work with parents of trans teens and adults in order to help them process and support their children.
Grief Therapy
Grief takes many shapes, and I walk alongside clients with compassion as they navigate their unique journey.
Psychoeducation
Providing clients with education to understand the how and why behind their experiences, while equipping them with practical skills they can apply in daily life.
