Hello, what a great day to begin to make changes in your life. My name is Kristina and I'm a Licensed Practice Counselor, LPC in Pennsylvania. I have six years of experience in helping clients with relationship issues, intimacy-related issues, anger management, parenting skills, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe that you are the expert on your story and have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

My clients can expect to receive a non-judgemental session along with interactive feedback by creating a treatment plan with a goal. I am not a therapist that sits back, but a directive therapist. There will be a constant dialog between us during the session. Unless the client needs to talk the entire time to purge out their emotions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel that my greatest strength includes being a spiritual healer to be able to help others find their path with the use of Positive Psychology, Cognitive-behavioral, Mind-Body, and Strength-Based approaches. Many individuals do not live by their core strengths and this creates anxiety and depression. I want all my clients to live their authentic lives and build their coping skills to be able to find their own answers within themselves eventually.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The cognitive behavioral approach allows the client to discuss their issues using interactive conversation. I have been using this approach for about eight years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been used to help a variety of mental disorders; such as, anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic disorder. In Cognitive Therapy, the client can talk through their emotions and behaviors. Individuals can identify their triggers to move forward by healing the anxiety, depression, and trauma. Once an individual identifies their triggers anxiety and depression almost disappear to allow the individual to live an authentic lifestyle.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I've worked with children and parents struggling with behavior issues at home and school. I have my behavioral specialist license, BSL through the state of Pennsylvania. I've not only worked with children who exhibit behavioral issues but also on the Autism spectrum. As parents, we all make mistakes because there is no perfect family out in this world. Therefore, I like to give parents a space where they are safe to talk about issues in the home. I approach change through a love stance, not fear-based; therefore, the parent can adjust their behaviors by healing their subconscious triggers that might reinforce behaviors in the home.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology has four fundamental approaches to therapy. The approach believes in the four pillars: loving and engaging relationships, sense of purpose, optimism, and spiritually cultivating authentic happiness. Individuals take a strength finder test to discover their core strengths. All individuals have 24 core strengths that define them as an individual. These 24 core strengths can during times of crisis. Sometimes these core strengths can conflict with particular situations in our lives.

Mind-body approach

I'm a spiritualist who integrates the mind and body approach to therapy sessions. The mind and body approach allows individuals to heal from the inside out by integrating their spirituality as a positive coping mechanism.
