Hi, I'm Jean Messeroux, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from Columbia University and over eleven years of experience supporting people through some of the most formative and demanding seasons of their lives. My background spans education and healthcare, where I worked as a teacher, social worker, and social emotional learning facilitator, and that experience shaped a practice built on the belief that therapy should feel practical, human, and connected to what you're actually living through, not detached from it. I work with a wide range of people, students figuring out who they are, professionals managing pressure and burnout, parents balancing everything at once, and athletes navigating performance and identity, because the core work of understanding yourself and building healthier patterns looks similar no matter what world you come from. Whatever brought you here, my goal is to create a space where you feel seen quickly and leave with tools you can actually use.

I am a psychodynamic-oriented therapist with a special interest in early childhood attachment and how that impacts present day relationships. I am also basic-trained in EMDR and equipped to provide EMDR virtually. I believe in an empowerment-based approach, and that even our maladaptive coping mechanisms are strategies that we have developed to help us cope with and survive life's trials. You may be in a season of life where you find yourself thinking, "I don't know who I am anymore," "I don't know what I need," or simply, "I don't know what comes next." Maybe your relationships feel harder than they used to, you're struggling to feel motivated or fulfilled, or you've spent so much time caring for everyone else that you've lost touch with yourself along the way. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with individuals navigating relationship challenges, identity shifts, life transitions, anxiety, and those "I don't know" seasons where you know something needs to change but aren't quite sure where to begin. Together, we can explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck, strengthen your relationships and communication, reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have gotten lost along the way, and help you move toward a life that feels more like your own. I have a particular passion for working with women throughout motherhood and the many transitions that come with it. From pregnancy and postpartum to adjusting to a new identity, changing relationships, balancing roles, and wondering where you fit into all of it. Motherhood can bring love and joy while also feeling overwhelming, isolating, and unfamiliar. I support moms throughout the perinatal and postpartum periods, as well as women simply trying to navigate the emotional complexities of becoming and being a mother. When I’m not in session, I’m usually spending time with my two children and enjoying the everyday moments of family life. I love baking, trying new recipes, getting outside, and finding time to slow down and recharge.

If you've been holding it together for a while and know something needs to shift, I can help you figure out what that looks like. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience, licensed in New Jersey, Oregon, and Vermont. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach draws mainly on CBT and trauma-informed care, with mindfulness and other tools depending on what's useful for you. Some sessions are about building concrete coping skills. Others are slower: working through something hard, or looking at a pattern that's been running your life without much scrutiny. I won't hand you generic advice or push goals that aren't yours. My job is helping you see what you're already capable of, challenge the thinking that keeps you stuck, and build toward a life that actually fits. You're the expert on your own life. I bring the clinical tools.

I am a therapist dedicated to empowering clients to reclaim their path toward their most desired future. My work is fundamentally solution-focused, meaning we spend less time dissecting problems and more time defining your strengths, identifying immediate wins, and building actionable steps toward your goals. Your capacity for change is immense, and my role is to help you see it clearly. My approach is collaborative and strategically integrated. I draw heavily on Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you resolve ambivalence and articulate your own, intrinsic reasons for change. This partnership focuses on eliciting "Change Talk" and moving from passive hope to decisive action. When building specific skills, I utilize CBT techniques, ensuring you leave each session with measurable, practical tools to manage your mood and navigate daily challenges effectively. For clients healing from deeper wounds, my expertise in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Grief Therapy ensures we address the past, but always through the lens of liberation. We process how trauma or loss has changed your worldview—identifying "stuck points"—not to dwell, but to remove cognitive barriers that block your future progress. I weave in Existential principles to anchor your goals in profound personal meaning. We ensure the future you are building is authentic and aligned with your deepest values, giving you the courage to take ownership of your choices. If you are ready to stop focusing on what is broken and start defining your best self, I offer a focused, empowering journey toward reclaiming your life.

You hold it together for everyone — at work, at home, in your relationships — but the weight of it is getting harder to carry. Maybe anxiety keeps your mind racing at 2 a.m., or you're stuck in patterns with substances or behaviors that started as coping but now feel like a trap. Maybe grief, trauma, or a painful chapter you thought you'd moved past keeps surfacing when you least expect it. I'm Rovin Chonielall, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addiction Specialist with 15 years of experience helping adults find their footing when life feels unmanageable. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and recovery, and the kind of emotional exhaustion that builds up when you've been running on autopilot for too long. My approach is direct, holistic, and grounded in what actually works. I draw on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build skills for managing intense emotions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge the thought patterns keeping you stuck, and Motivational Interviewing to help you connect with your own reasons for change — especially when motivation feels low. I also incorporate mindfulness and solution-focused techniques, because sustainable growth happens when you learn to be present with yourself, not just push through. What my clients tell me is that therapy with me feels different — honest without being harsh, structured without being rigid. I'm not going to just nod along. I'll meet you where you are, ask the questions that matter, and help you build a life that actually reflects who you want to be. If you're ready to stop going through the motions and start doing the real work, I'd like to help.

You are capable, possibly the most capable person in the room, and yet something keeps getting in the way. Maybe it is the anxiety that follows you into meetings, a career crossroads you cannot seem to resolve, or a voice in your head that is harder on you than anyone else. You do not need someone to tell you what to do. You need a space to get clear, a direct approach that respects your intelligence, and tools that actually work. With 20 years of experience, I help high-functioning adults close the gap between where they are and who they know they can be. If you are feeling stuck, disconnected, or worn down by patterns you cannot seem to break, you are not alone and you are not without options. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, or a loss of confidence, I create a judgment-free space where honesty meets action. My approach is warm but direct. We will not just talk about change, we will build it through practical strategies, deeper self-awareness, and a growing ability to trust yourself again.

Hello! My name is Rukiya and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in New Jersey. Professionally I have been working as an outpatient clinician in community mental health for the past five years and working in the field for the past 8 years. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, grounded in the belief that individuals are the experts of their own experiences. I believe people are the experts of themselves and I get the honor to hold space and help connect the dots. Outside of Therapy I am a writer and a poet. I am a former peer educator. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with adults in demanding careers who appear to function well on the outside but experience significant internal strain from anxiety, ADHD, sleep difficulties, chronic stress, or burnout. Many of my clients are physicians, healthcare professionals, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and others whose work requires sustained cognitive performance under pressure. My approach is informed by graduate training in clinical counseling at the University of Pennsylvania and a research background in STEM. Together, these experiences shape a structured, neuroscience-informed approach that integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with systems thinking to understand how patterns of thinking, emotion, and behavior develop, interact, and change. I work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ clients, and view identity as an important part of each person's lived experience rather than the problem itself. Therapy is a collaborative process focused on building clarity, resilience, and lasting change, particularly for people who are highly capable yet feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected beneath the surface.

I know anxiety and depression. I know how it feels to fall down over and over and believe like you're destined to fall again. I also know firsthand how changing our thinking can help us to overcome even the most daunting challenges. I've helped countless people make significant progress in every aspect of their lives. I utilize established modalities like CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing, but I also know the value of listening.

Hello, and welcome. My name is Kandice Witherspoon, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey with more than 20 years of experience providing mental health services throughout Pennsylvania, including the Pittsburgh and Philadelphia regions. I earned a Master of Science in Community Counseling from Springfield College in 2005 and a Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Waynesburg University in 2011. Over the course of my career, I have worked with emotionally vulnerable populations in a variety of settings, including hospitals, community mental health agencies, outpatient programs, and private practice. I have experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. My areas of specialization include depression, generalized anxiety disorder, trauma, stress management, and life transitions. I also have experience working with individuals living with chronic medical conditions, including Parkinson's disease, and understand the emotional and psychological challenges that can accompany long-term health concerns. In addition to providing therapy, I have four years of experience supervising master's-level clinicians in BHRS and outpatient settings. I also completed a two-year certification program in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through a mental health agency partnership with the Beck Institute. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, respected, and comfortable being themselves. While therapy is important work, I also believe that a genuine, lighthearted approach can help foster trust and connection.

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
