About me

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in school social work, and I specialize in helping people navigate life’s transitions. I will walk alongside you through change, help you manage stress and emotions, and support you in building confidence, resilience, and meaningful connections. As a Jamaican American woman, I bring a culturally sensitive and supportive approach to therapy, creating a safe space where clients feel understood and respected. I understand the unique challenges that come with balancing cultural identity, family expectations, and life changes. My style is warm, collaborative, and strength-based. I wholeheartedly believe each person already has resources within them, and together we can uncover and build on those strengths. I use a range of approaches tailored to each client’s needs.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is all about getting to know you and making sure you feel comfortable. We’ll start with a conversation about what brought you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to get out of our time together. I’ll also share a bit about how I work, answer any questions you have, and talk through the different approaches we might use. My goal in our first session is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood as we begin this process together

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I’m here to listen, support, and guide you through life’s changes with care and understanding. I focus on your strengths, helping you build confidence and resilience while using tools and approaches that fit your unique needs. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and understood.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone going through a transition, whether that’s starting a new school, stepping into adulthood, navigating family/relationship changes, or moving through loss. Change can be exciting, but it can also bring stress, uncertainty, and overwhelming feelings. I work well with teens and adults who seek a safe and supportive space to process their experiences and develop tools to manage stress and emotions. Many of my clients value an approach that fully honors their voice, identity, and strengths.
