New to Grow
Hi! I am Jaclyn. I have an extensive history working with individuals of all ages, functioning levels, and settings. I received my bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University where I studied Psychology. I then received my Master’s degree from Chestnut Hill College where I studied Clinical and Counseling Psychology. Since my undergraduate I have worked alongside my clients to address past traumas and symptoms of unresolved experiences.
Our first session will be getting to know one another with client’s expectations and exploring client’s needs and strengths. Although some client’s may struggle to identify some of these, casual conversations can lead to an understanding together.
My clients have told me that they appreciate my authenticity and humor. I meet my clients where they’re at in each moment and encourage them to use skills and pacing that is best for each of them. Just like we all grow at different rates, we also learn and heal at different rates as well.
We will work collaboratively to develop specific goals that are attainable. Having a long-term goal is great but I find my clients thrive when we can identify their ‘why’ as well as implement smaller goals, too! My ultimate goal is for my clients to feel heard, comfortable, and safe.
As each client is unique with their own strengths, it is important to include this individuality to promote success.
When appropriate, TF CBT allows for skills building and processing of trauma.
