I am an engaging and connecting type of therapist who helps you feel like you can talk openly and without reserve. I love getting to know my clients and truly feel honored to be in this helping profession. I want to be your biggest fan and cheerleader and can honestly say I do not judge my clients. I have heard the darkest and worst things and still find that I like my clients and want them to succeed. I have been in private practice for about 12 years but have been a therapist for about 15-16. *I have included my basic work hours in the availability calendar but feel free to message me if you need to inquire about other availability. I often have other availability but it changes weekly so I cannot list it as static availability on my Grow Calendar. If we find another time than is listed here, I can schedule it on the Grow Platform.

I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely seen, understood, and comfortable showing up as themselves. My approach is warm, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and grounded in authenticity. I strive to create a space where clients can be honest about the parts of themselves they may feel embarrassed, overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck with—without fear of criticism or shame. I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, self-esteem struggles, identity exploration, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that no longer feel helpful or sustainable. Many of my clients are insightful and self-aware but find themselves overthinking, emotionally exhausted, disconnected from themselves, or repeating cycles they want to better understand and change. My style blends practical skill-building with deeper emotional exploration. I draw from approaches including CBT, DBT, person-centered, existential, and motivational techniques to help clients increase self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, improve communication and boundaries, and better understand the underlying experiences shaping their current struggles. I value humor, honesty, curiosity, and creating a therapeutic relationship that feels human, not overly clinical or rigid. As a queer and affirming therapist, I’m especially passionate about creating a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ clients and anyone who has felt misunderstood, pressured to mask parts of themselves, or uncertain about where they fit. Whether you are looking for insight, coping tools, emotional support, or meaningful change, therapy can be a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

Do you find yourself overthinking? Maybe placing else's needs before your own and struggling to say no without guilt? Feeling responsible for keeping the peace, managing other people's emotions, or living up to expectations that no longer fit who you are? Sound familiar? Patterns like these can quietly shape our relationships, our self-worth, and our boundaries well into adulthood. If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in the same frustrating cycles, I want you to know something a lot of people don't expect to hear in therapy: you don't have to spend months dissecting the past before things can start to change. I help individuals through hard transitions and difficult pasts get clear on what they truly want their life to look like — and take meaningful steps to get there. Instead of asking you to spend session after session focused on what's wrong, I'm interested in helping you discover what you want instead — and what might help you move closer to it. Progress can begin with small changes, and we'll pay attention to those changes as they happen. I am Ebony Yelder, LPC. My career has taken me into many different settings, including behavioral health hospitals, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, in-home therapy, and work with the Department of Defense supporting service members and their families. Each experience has shaped the way I practice today and reinforced something I continue to believe people often have more strength, resilience, and resources within them than they realize. Let me guess: You've been thinking about therapy for a while now. Maybe months, maybe years, but something kept stopping you. Too busy, too expensive, "it's not that bad yet," or maybe just the fear of opening up to a stranger who might judge you or not really get it. Here's what I want you to know: You don't need to wait until things get worse, you don't need permission to ask for help, and you don't have to figure this out alone. That's why I'm here. As a board-certified bilingual therapist, veteran, and founder of www.TalkHealRepeat.com , I've spent over 10 years supporting thousands of clients through trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions that once felt impossible, from crisis units and corrections facilities to refugee shelters and quiet therapy rooms, working with chronic mental illness, personality disorders, abuse, trauma, ADHD, OCD, addictions, and some of the hardest moments of their lives. Here's what I know for sure: healing doesn't require perfection, it requires honesty and someone who actually gets it. You're not broken, you're dealing with hard things, and you deserve help that feels supportive, not cold, not judgmental, not like one more thing you're supposed to "fix" about yourself. 🔺If you can’t find a time on my calendar, message me. I’ll move things around, lose a lunch break, get creative. You showing up here already tells me everything I need to know about you.

I work with women and women-identifying individuals who are navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, reproductive mental health, and all of the complicated identity shifts that can come with being a woman in different seasons of life. Many of my clients are smart, capable, and very good at keeping things moving. On the outside, they may look like they have it all together. Inside, they may feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected from themselves, or simply tired of carrying so much. I especially enjoy working with women through young adulthood, dating and relationships, marriage, career stress, perfectionism, infertility, fertility treatment and IVF, pregnancy, postpartum changes, motherhood, parenting, grief and loss, and midlife transitions. I also work with women who are trying to figure out who they are now that the version of themselves that used to fit no longer quite does. Reproductive and perinatal mental health is a particular passion of mine. As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C), I have specialized training in infertility, IVF and fertility treatment, pregnancy, postpartum mental health, pregnancy loss, reproductive grief, family-building decisions, and the emotional complexities that can come with becoming a parent. My style as a therapist is warm, conversational, thoughtful, and active. I believe therapy can be meaningful without feeling stiff or overly clinical. We will talk about difficult things, but we can also laugh. I will listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, notice patterns, and help you make sense of what is happening underneath the surface. My goal is for you to feel understood, challenged when it is helpful, and comfortable enough to show up as yourself.

I believe that healing begins with safety, connection, and understanding. Through a polyvagal-informed approach, I help my clients recognize how their nervous system influences their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Many of the struggles we experience are not signs of weakness, but adaptive responses to stress, overwhelm, and life experiences. Together, we will develop a greater awareness of your nervous system, strengthen your capacity for regulation, and cultivate a deeper sense of resilience and self-trust. My goal is to help you move beyond merely surviving and toward feeling more connected, empowered, and engaged in your life. By creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship, I help clients access their innate capacity to heal, grow, and thrive. For the past twenty years, I have worked as a school counselor, helping children develop emotional intelligence, coping skills, and self-awareness. Throughout my career, I have witnessed the profound impact that relationships rooted in safety, connection, and attuned support can have on healing. I have seen how individuals can begin to release emotional pain and trauma held within the body when provided with the right support and interventions. I have also observed how a dysregulated nervous system—often expressed through fight, flight, freeze, or shutdown responses—can contribute to physical symptoms, repeated diagnostic testing, and medical interventions that fail to address the underlying cause. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I am able to expand this work beyond the school setting, helping individuals across the lifespan understand how their unique experiences, relationships, and biology influence both their mental and physical well-being. My passion is empowering clients to reconnect with their strengths, develop greater self-compassion, and create lasting change from the inside out.

If you've been holding it together for a while and know something needs to shift, I can help you figure out what that looks like. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience, licensed in New Jersey, Oregon, and Vermont. I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach draws mainly on CBT and trauma-informed care, with mindfulness and other tools depending on what's useful for you. Some sessions are about building concrete coping skills. Others are slower: working through something hard, or looking at a pattern that's been running your life without much scrutiny. I won't hand you generic advice or push goals that aren't yours. My job is helping you see what you're already capable of, challenge the thinking that keeps you stuck, and build toward a life that actually fits. You're the expert on your own life. I bring the clinical tools.

Hi! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),based in NJ and have been practicing therapy for the past six years. I believe therapy is a space where your voice deserves to be heard, honored, and understood. My approach is warm, culturally aware, and grounded in genuine curiosity about who you are and what has shaped your story. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy learning about different cultures, getting lost in a good book, and unwinding with a great show—things that help me stay grounded and connected. My work is fundamentally solution-focused, meaning we spend less time dissecting problems and more time defining your strengths, identifying immediate wins, and building actionable steps toward your goals. Your capacity for change is immense, and my role is to help you see it clearly. My approach is collaborative and strategically integrated. I draw heavily on Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you resolve ambivalence and articulate your own, intrinsic reasons for change. This partnership focuses on eliciting "Change Talk" and moving from passive hope to decisive action. When building specific skills, I utilize CBT techniques, ensuring you leave each session with measurable, practical tools to manage your mood and navigate daily challenges effectively. For clients healing from deeper wounds, my expertise in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Grief Therapy ensures we address the past, but always through the lens of liberation. We process how trauma or loss has changed your worldview—identifying "stuck points"—not to dwell, but to remove cognitive barriers that block your future progress. I weave in Existential principles to anchor your goals in profound personal meaning. We ensure the future you are building is authentic and aligned with your deepest values, giving you the courage to take ownership of your choices. If you are ready to stop focusing on what is broken and start defining your best self, I offer a focused, empowering journey toward reclaiming your life.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor providing virtual therapy for adults and couples who are ready to move beyond feeling stuck and begin creating meaningful, lasting change. Many of the clients I work with appear to be managing on the outside, while internally navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship strain, or difficulty expressing their needs. If you find yourself overthinking, reacting instead of responding, or repeating patterns that no longer serve you, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own. My approach is structured, intentional, and insight-oriented. I focus on helping you strengthen your emotional intelligence—how you understand, manage, and communicate your emotions—because this is the foundation for healthier relationships, clearer decision-making, and improved overall well-being. Together, we will identify patterns, explore the root of your challenges, and develop practical tools that help you respond with clarity and confidence rather than impulse or avoidance. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem challenges, and emotional fatigue, as well as couples working through communication breakdowns, trust concerns, and disconnection. Therapy with me is an active process. It requires honesty, consistency, and a willingness to do the work, but it also creates the opportunity for real, sustainable growth. If you’re ready to invest in yourself, better understand how you operate emotionally, and begin showing up differently in your life and relationships, this is a space where that work can begin.

I am a psychodynamic-oriented therapist with a special interest in early childhood attachment and how that impacts present day relationships. I am also basic-trained in EMDR and equipped to provide EMDR virtually. I believe in an empowerment-based approach, and that even our maladaptive coping mechanisms are strategies that we have developed to help us cope with and survive life's trials. I like to reframe negative beliefs that clients hold about themselves and how they cope into strengths, and then collaborate with clients on strategies to achieve desired changes.

My journey into therapy began with a desire to help the hurting individuals I worked with in a group home, and a genuine passion for helping others find strength through life’s most difficult moments. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting people facing a wide range of challenges—experiences that have shown me just how powerful and transformative therapy can be. These moments have only deepened my commitment to walking alongside others on their path to healing. I’m continually inspired by the belief that every person holds the capacity for growth, resilience, and change. We can change and heal. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way. I treat adults age 18 and up.

Most importantly I am a good listener. If I do not understand, I will ask. I believe in becoming uncomfortable to accept growth and change. I am patient and kind, but I will hold you accountable if necessary. I am here for you. I will do my best to understand what your needs are in order and develop a treatment plan based on that order: emotional, physical, reminders, etc... and how to be ready to move through the week ahead. A goal or an intention or again whatever word you will choose to use will be set, as to see success in small steps.

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use.
