I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with children, families, and adults navigating life’s challenges. My goal is to create a supportive and collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I have several years of experience working with children and parents, helping families strengthen communication, manage behavioral or emotional concerns, and build healthy coping skills. In addition to my therapy work, I also serve as a case manager in a long-term acute care hospital, where I support adults and older adults facing complex medical and life transitions. My approach is compassionate, practical, and strengths-based. I strive to help clients better understand themselves, develop effective coping strategies, and feel more confident navigating everyday life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we’ll get to know each other and explore what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask questions about your goals, challenges, and what has or hasn’t worked in the past, so I can tailor our work to your needs. We’ll also discuss what therapy looks like with me, including what to expect from sessions and how we can work together on practical skills to help you cope with anxiety, grief, life transitions, or other challenges. This session is a safe space for you to share your experiences, ask questions, and get a sense of whether my approach feels like a good fit for you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is the wide range of clients I work with, from children and adolescents to adults, including older adults navigating life transitions. This experience allows me to adapt my approach to each client’s unique needs and developmental stage. I also pride myself on being flexible and collaborative in therapy. That means that if a particular approach isn’t working, I’m willing to explore different strategies to find what resonates best with each individual. My goal is to help clients feel supported, empowered, and equipped with practical tools they can use in their daily lives or to provide a safe space for emotions to be felt and feelings to be heard.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are individuals who are open to self-reflection and willing to actively engage in the therapy process. I work best with clients who are motivated to make changes, open to learning new coping strategies, and interested in building practical skills they can apply in their daily lives. I am best positioned to support clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, and emotional regulation. I also enjoy working with children and adolescents who feel comfortable participating in therapy, as well as parents who want to better understand and support their child’s emotional and behavioral needs. I value collaboration and often work with caregivers to help reinforce skills and progress outside of sessions. My practice focuses on ongoing therapeutic work rather than crisis intervention, and I aim to create a supportive environment where clients feel ready and willing to engage in meaningful change. Additionally, I love to provide a safe space for clients to felt seen. If all you need is a safe space, and a listening ear, I am here for you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) into my work with children, adolescents, adults, and families to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that helps people identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop healthier ways of responding to difficult situations. In my work with children and parents, I often use CBT strategies to help young clients build emotional awareness, coping skills, and problem-solving abilities. I also work closely with caregivers to help them reinforce these skills at home and better understand how thoughts and behaviors influence emotional reactions. With adults, including older adults, I use CBT to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and adjustment to medical or caregiving challenges. My experience working in a long-term acute care hospital has given me additional insight into how physical health, aging, and major life changes can impact mental health, and CBT can be a helpful framework for navigating those challenges. Overall, I use CBT in a collaborative and flexible way, tailoring techniques to each client’s developmental stage, goals, and life circumstances while focusing on building practical skills that clients can continue using outside of therapy.

Strength-Based

I take a strengths-based approach in my work by helping clients recognize and build on the abilities, resilience, and supports they already have. Many people come to therapy feeling discouraged or focused on what isn’t working in their lives, and part of my role is to help them rediscover the skills, values, and past successes that can support positive change. With children and families, this often means highlighting a child’s unique strengths while helping parents better understand and nurture those qualities. I work collaboratively with families to build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop practical strategies that support growth at home, school, and in relationships. In my work with adults and older adults, a strengths-based perspective helps clients recognize the coping skills and life experiences they have already developed. Whether someone is navigating stress, life transitions, caregiving responsibilities, or health challenges, focusing on their strengths can help increase confidence, resilience, and a sense of control. Overall, I aim to create a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel seen for their capabilities, not just their struggles, and where therapy becomes a space for building on the strengths they already possess.

Somatic

I incorporate somatic-informed techniques into my practice to help clients better understand how stress, emotions, and life experiences can show up in the body. This may include helping clients notice physical sensations connected to their emotions, practicing grounding strategies, and developing body-based coping skills that support regulation and self-awareness. While my primary training is in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, I integrate somatic strategies as a complementary tool to help clients feel more connected to their bodies and better able to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions. I continue to expand my knowledge in this area as part of my commitment to offering holistic and effective support for my clients.

Trauma Informed Care

I practice from a trauma-informed perspective, which means recognizing how past experiences can influence a person’s emotions, behaviors, and sense of safety. I focus on creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable moving at their own pace. In my work with children, families, and adults, I incorporate strategies that prioritize emotional regulation, building coping skills, and strengthening a sense of control and safety. I also integrate evidence-based approaches such as CBT while remaining mindful of how trauma can affect thoughts, relationships, and daily functioning. My goal is to help clients develop resilience and feel more empowered in their healing process.

Grief Therapy

I support clients experiencing grief and loss by providing a compassionate and nonjudgmental space to process their emotions. Grief can take many forms, including the loss of a loved one, changes in health, relationship loss, or major life transitions, and each person’s experience is unique. In my work with children, families, and adults, I help clients explore their feelings, develop healthy coping strategies, and find ways to move forward while honoring their loss. My approach focuses on validating each client’s experience, building resilience, and supporting them as they navigate the emotional and practical challenges that can come with grief.
