New to Grow
Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and I earned my Master’s degree from Monmouth University. I work with children (ages 8+), teens, young adults, and adults who are navigating life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and low self-esteem. I know how overwhelming these feelings can be, and I strive to create a safe, compassionate space where you can feel truly heard and understood. I work collaboratively with clients to build practical coping skills, strengthen confidence, and develop strategies to manage life’s ups and downs. My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I tailor every session to meet your unique needs and goals. My focus is on helping you feel empowered, supported, and equipped to create meaningful, lasting change in your life.
In your first session with me, we’ll start by getting to know each other and understanding what brought you to therapy. I’ll ask about your background, current challenges, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. This is also a time for you to ask any questions about the therapy process, my approach, and how we’ll work together. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll begin identifying patterns, strengths, and practical strategies that can help you manage stress, build coping skills, and work toward your goals. The first session is about laying the foundation for a collaborative, personalized approach that fits your needs.
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is that it is collaborative, practical, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while also incorporating strategies to build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and increase self-confidence. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their challenges. I emphasize practical tools and strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives, which often leads to noticeable improvements in managing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, and other emotional challenges. Clients often tell me that they appreciate how sessions are both insightful and actionable, helping them feel more empowered, resilient, and equipped to handle life’s ups and downs.
I am best positioned to serve children ages 8 and up, adolescents, teens, young adults, and adults who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges that impact their daily functioning and overall well-being. I work closely with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks, grief and loss, life stressors, low self-esteem, and difficulty utilizing healthy coping skills. I particularly enjoy supporting clients who may feel overwhelmed by persistent worry, intrusive thoughts, sadness, emotional dysregulation, or major life transitions. My work focuses on helping clients better understand their emotions, develop effective coping strategies, build confidence, and improve their ability to manage stress in healthy and sustainable ways. I am well-suited to work with clients who are motivated to gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors, strengthen emotional resilience, and work toward goals such as improved self-esteem, reduced anxiety and depressive symptoms, healthier relationships, and a greater sense of balance in their daily lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary evidence-based treatment approach in my clinical practice with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress-related concerns, life transitions, and perinatal/maternal mental health challenges. I use CBT to help clients identify the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and to recognize patterns of negative or unhelpful thinking that may be contributing to emotional distress. In practice, I work collaboratively with clients to increase awareness of automatic thoughts, cognitive distortions, and core beliefs that influence their reactions and coping strategies. Together, we challenge maladaptive thought patterns and develop more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also incorporate behavioral interventions such as coping skills development, behavioral activation, problem-solving, and gradual exposure to anxiety-provoking situations when clinically appropriate. My use of CBT is tailored to each client’s presenting concerns and treatment goals, with an emphasis on practical tools that clients can apply outside of session to improve emotional regulation, reduce symptoms, and build long-term resilience.
