LCSW, 8 years of experience
New to Grow
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing psychotherapy to children, and adults of all ages in NJ/FL. I have experience in diagnosing and treating anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, PTSD, etc. Beyond my professional life, I love spending quality time with my family and my dog, Teddy — affectionately known as Teddy Bears — as well as enjoying various outdoor activities.
I will introduce myself and ask you some questions to better understand how I can help you. The questions will focus on the problem you are experiencing, what brought you to the appointment, and relevant history. I will gather information, but we will not delve too deeply into the details. I will explain what to expect from the follow-up appointment and answer any questions you may have.
I communicate clearly and with respect. I want you to know that this is a therapeutic relationship. As with other relationships, I want us to experience mutual respect, for you to express yourself openly, and feel safe. If that is not something you know how to do, we will work on this as well. It's essential that you let me know what you think or want, because your thoughts and wants are important to me.
I specialize in treating children and adults who experience overthinking, excessive worrying, feelings of sadness, irritability, or sudden symptoms such as a sensation of walls collapsing in, difficulty breathing, a racing heart, and/or sweaty hands. I work with individuals who have experienced traumatic event(s), have difficulty managing behaviors/emotions, and those who need support during a significant change in their life.
I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect their well-being. I teach my clients various tools to manage these aspects, and together, we discover what works best for them.
I help clients explore themes they are struggling with or feeling stuck on by looking back at when they first experienced these challenges. I guide them in reprocessing their memories so that these past experiences have a lesser impact on their lives today and in the future.
