I am a trauma informed social worker with over 20 years of experience working with adults with mental health issues such depression and anxiety as well as individuals experiencing substance use challenges. I integrate CBT, hypnotherapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while also addressing deeper patterns that keep them stuck, My goal is to help clients build insight, stengthen motivation, and develop pratical coping skills so they can achieve greater stability, emotional regulation, and meaningful, self-directed change in their lives.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I begin my first session by buiding rapport, creating a safe and supportive environment, gathering relevant history and current concerns. I ensure clients feel heard and respected while assessing symptoms and functions. I gently explore patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and collaborate to identify initial goals and next steps. I may also introduce basic coping and grounding strategies and provide a clear sense of how future sessions will be structured.

I bring a depth of clinical and life experience that strengthens my ability to connect with clients in a grounded, nonjudgmental way. My strengths are my ability to build trust quickly, meet clients where they are, and integrate CBT, hypnotherapy, and motivational interviewing within an effective framework.
