I also know firsthand how changing our thinking can help us to overcome even the most daunting challenges. I've helped countless people make significant progress in every aspect of their lives. I utilize established modalities like CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing, but I also know the value of listening.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizing CBT, my clients are empowered to work through negative emotions and behaviors by identifying and disrupting distorted thought patterns.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

The ACT framework framework's six core principles helps clients reduce the struggle with negative thoughts and emotions, enhance psychological flexibility, and align behavior with personal values.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I help clients by guiding them to balance acceptance of themselves with concrete, goal-oriented strategies for change. In Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I focus on four core skill areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. I teach clients mindfulness techniques so they can stay present and observe their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I support them in learning healthier ways to manage intense emotions and reduce harmful coping behaviors. I also help clients build skills for navigating relationships more effectively, including how to assert their needs while respecting others. By weaving acceptance with practical change strategies, I empower clients to create a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with their values.

Motivational Interviewing

Utilizing motivational interviewing, I bring my clients to a clearer understanding of their core priorities and goals, and facilitate the establishment of a clear action plan.

EMDR

Imagine sitting across from me as we begin therapy—if we were to guide your eyes gently left and right, or alternate soothing taps or tones, you would notice distressing memories loosening their grip on your present. I use Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that pairs these brief sets of bilateral stimulation with focused attention on a troubling memory. The stimulation activates your brain’s natural information-processing system, allowing stuck experiences to be “re-filed” so they no longer trigger the same emotional or physical reactions.
