New to Grow
Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in both NY & NJ with over a decade of experience working with individuals who are experiencing anxiety, burnout and relationship challenges. Therapy, to me, feels like a genuine conversation between two people. I show up as myself—curious, engaged, and thoughtful. I'll ask questions, offer new perspectives, and help you build insight and practical tools so you can feel more like yourself again.
We'll spend the initial session doing a deep dive into who you are, your history, your goals, your support network and more. I will ask you lots of questions, and provide space for you to do the same.
While our sessions are organic and flexible, I am active in the therapy space. I bring practical tools into our work, with a strong emphasis on: - Mindfulness & Grounding: Learning how to stay present, slow down, and regulate your nervous system. - Boundaries & Communication: Helping you identify your needs, articulate them clearly, and protect your energy without guilt. - Self-Compassion: Shifting away from harsh self-criticism and developing a more supportive relationship with yourself.
You might be someone who's been in a career for many years but wondering "is it worth all of the time and energy?" "is this what I truly want in life?". A new mom, navigating an unfathomable identity shift, and constant challenges of keeping another human alive . Or maybe you've never tried therapy before because you've always felt you can handle it alone.
We get to the core of what is important to you (your values) so that you can feel more in alignment with what you're doing in your life, and let go of what doesn't serve you.
Sometimes your thoughts run the show - we try to uncover how that is and ways to reframe your perspective. How you think impacts how you feel and how you feel impacts what you do.
Sometimes your emotions take the wheel, dictating what you do (or don't do) and it can impact our relationship with ourselves and others. There are lots of helpful skills to support in navigating intense emotions so that we can feel and think differently.
You might be feeling uncertain about making a decision in your life; motivational interviewing is a non-judgemental tool that works well to support clients who want to change but don't know how or aren't quite ready to take action.
