My name is Ashley Kelly, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work, which has provided me with a strong foundation in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of the emotional, social, and environmental factors that influence well-being. In my practice, I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. I work collaboratively with individuals to explore their experiences, build on their strengths, and develop practical tools. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and it’s okay to have questions or hesitations. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. If you’ve been thinking about reaching out but haven’t taken that step yet, this is your sign that it’s okay to start the conversation. Whenever you’re ready, I’m here to listen and guide you through the steps.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In the first session, we focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and beginning to build a comfortable, supportive working relationship. We will talk about your current concerns, relevant background information, strengths, and supports, as well as begin identifying goals for treatment. I will also explain how therapy works, including what sessions typically look like, confidentiality, and what you can expect moving forward. The session is collaborative and paced based on your comfort level, with no expectation to share everything at once. Overall, the goal of the first session is to create a foundation for treatment and begin identifying how therapy can best support your needs using approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I provide a structured, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to sessions that helps clients feel supported while also focusing on meaningful progress. You are skilled at building rapport and creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. You effectively integrate evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing in a practical and accessible way that clients can apply in their daily lives. You are able to break down complex emotional and behavioral challenges into clear, manageable goals while balancing structure with flexibility. Through active listening, reflection, and a focus on client strengths, you help increase engagement, motivation, and confidence, ultimately supporting clients in building sustainable coping skills and long-term change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to work with youth and families who are navigating emotional, behavioral, and environmental challenges and are looking for practical support and meaningful change. I work well with clients who may be experiencing: Difficulty managing emotions such as anger, anxiety, or sadness Behavioral challenges at home, school, or in the community Exposure to stress, trauma, or community violence Struggles with communication, relationships, or family conflict Low motivation, resistance to change, or feeling “stuck”

Motivational Interviewing

In our work together, I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your thoughts and feelings about change, especially if you feel unsure, stuck, or conflicted.
