New to Grow
I am a PhD level school psychologist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have worked in several different capacities in both California and New Jersey. I have worked in both public and private schools, as well as in private practice . I have also taught undergraduate courses at Monmouth University. I earned a B.A. in psychology from Boston University and my PhD in School Psychology from Fordham University.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be reflective listening, on my part , in order to better understand the client and their issues. I am happy to answer questions about myself as well.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I am calm, reflective and non-judgmental. I will offer a safe space as I actively listen in order to build trust around the therapeutic relationship. I am flexible, client-centered and will provide understanding while challenge my clients to help them grow.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Therapies include, but are not limited to social skills training, strategies for dealing with anxiety and depression, coping with learning differences, career advising, and the topic of divorce.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I focus on the connection between thoughts, feelings and actions to help to improve social emotional regulation. I am to help clients develop coping strategies for issues around career, relationships, anxiety, depression and issues around eating.
