Welcome, I'm Shari and I support adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of the individuals I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward, and are looking for a space to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. We’ll talk through what’s been going on in your life, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, and identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I’ll help you slow things down, see things more clearly, and learn ways to manage stress, navigate difficult emotions, and respond differently in challenging situations. The goal is not just to talk, but to help you leave sessions with tools you can actually use in your everyday life. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and comfortable being yourself, while also being challenged to grow. Together, we work toward increasing clarity, strengthening coping skills, and helping you feel more in control and aligned in your life. My goal is for you to leave sessions feeling more grounded, more confident, and more connected to your sense of peace and purpose.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a space for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what’s bringing you in. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, background, and what you’re hoping to work on, but there’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at your pace while identifying patterns, goals, and areas of focus. You’re also encouraged to ask questions and get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit for you. By the end of the session, you can expect to have more clarity and a better understanding of what working together may look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a space that feels both safe and honest. Clients often feel comfortable being themselves while also being gently challenged in a way that supports growth. I balance empathy with directness, helping you not only process your experiences but also recognize patterns and make meaningful changes. My approach is practical and focused on real-life application, so you leave sessions with tools you can actually use in your daily life. I also value cultural awareness and understand how identity, environment, and lived experiences shape mental health. I’m intentional about creating a space that feels supportive and affirming for individuals from BIPOC communities, where you don’t have to over-explain your experiences to feel understood. My goal is for you to feel seen, respected, and supported as your full self.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with women who are navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges, and are ready to better understand themselves and create meaningful change. Many of my clients are used to showing up for others and handling a lot on their own, but may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to move forward. My ideal client may also struggle with boundaries. I’m especially aligned with individuals from BIPOC communities who are looking for a space where they feel understood without having to over-explain their experiences. My clients are often open to self-reflection and want to build healthier coping skills, improve emotional awareness, and feel more grounded in their day-to-day lives. If you’re looking for a space where you can be supported, challenged, and learn practical tools to navigate what you’re going through, we would likely be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I use Trauma-Focused CBT to help clients understand how past experiences impact their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we work on building coping skills, processing experiences at your pace, and developing healthier ways to respond to triggers.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness to help you slow down, stay present, and become more aware of your thoughts and emotions without feeling overwhelmed by them. This helps you respond more intentionally instead of reacting automatically.

EMDR

I use EMDR to help clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences that may feel “stuck.” I am currently completing consultation as part of my EMDR training, and I incorporate this approach thoughtfully and at a pace that feels safe and supportive for you.
