Hi! I'm Danielle, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) based in New Jersey. I received my Master's in clinical mental health from New Jersey City University and have over 5 years' experience working in the mental health field. I specialize in working with adults (18+) to overcome a variety of challenges such as self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, life transitions, faith/spirituality, chronic illness and grief. I am passionate about helping others find their individual healing process and live balanced, healthy lives.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first meeting is about gathering information. I will ask you a series of questions about your mental health history and go over practice policies and discuss your goals for therapy. It is also your opportunity to ask me any questions you have (I greatly encourage this!).

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I am authentic, inquisitive, and have a sense of humor. Working with adults from various life stages has allowed me to help my clients identify the root causes of challenges and create tailored plans that lead to measurable progress. Coming from a single-parent, multi-racial background, I am able to connect with my clients on unique challenges related to sense of identity, concepts of resilience, challenges with self-expression, and differentiation. My treatment methods

Integrative

I have been using an integrative style for over 5 years. I use a combination of evidenced-based techniques--such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), humanistic, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR)-- to offer a flexible, personalized approach to meet your unique goals in a comprehensive, holistic way.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT interventions to help you identify unhelpful thought patterns and inner dialogue. We then work together to restructure those messages into ones that promote health and wellbeing.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a favorite of mine as it is great for regulating intense emotions and improve coping skills for distress tolerance.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I am a champion of self-awareness and use mindfulness interventions in therapy sessions to help you get to know yourself on a deeper level, induce relaxation, and ground in the present moment.

Humanistic

I show up to sessions authentic and genuine. Whether you're going through a rough time or celebrating a personal victory, I am here for it.
