New to Grow
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, and I’m glad you’re here. I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. As a bilingual therapist, I welcome clients in both English and Spanish. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, and I strive to meet you where you are. I believe people are more resilient than they often realize, and together we’ll work toward helping you reconnect with that strength.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I’ll want to learn about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope to gain from our work together. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once—we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My goal is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and with a clearer understanding of how we can work together to help you reach your goals.
I believe the best therapy happens within a genuine, trusting relationship. My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I’ll listen with empathy and celebrate your progress. I’ll meet you with compassion while also encouraging you to look at things from new perspectives. While we take your concerns seriously, I also believe there’s room for laughter. When it’s appropriate, I use humor to help clients feel more comfortable and remind them that healing doesn’t have to happen in a space that feels heavy all the time. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling supported, understood, and equipped with practical tools you can use in your everyday life.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we’ll identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop practical tools to help you respond to life’s challenges in healthier, more effective ways. My goal is to help you build skills that you can continue using outside of therapy.
Strength-Based
I believe every person has strengths, even during difficult times. Together we’ll identify those strengths and use them as a foundation for overcoming challenges, building resilience, and creating meaningful change.
Motivational Interviewing
Change can be difficult, especially when you’re feeling uncertain. I’ll help you explore your own motivations, work through ambivalence, and make changes that align with your values and goals.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship helps clients feel empowered to explore challenges and work toward their goals.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
Sometimes we don’t need to spend all of our time looking at what’s wrong. We’ll also focus on what’s already working, identify realistic goals, and build practical steps that help you move forward.
