New to Grow
I'm Angela, an African-American, queer clinical social work therapist with over 25 years of experience in various treatment settings. I enjoy working with college-age through senior adults who want to grow, improve their mental health, or are experiencing a wide variety of distress. My work with clients is integrative, insight-oriented, and grounded in a cognitive-behavioral framework with a trauma-focused lens.
Your first session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of me as a therapist, and for me to learn about the current and long-term stressors that are leading you to seek therapy at this time. At the end of this session, I will offer recommendations for an effective course of treatment.
I am experienced, culturally responsive clinician with an integrative approach that is affirming of all people.
