My approach is trauma informed by Liberation-Based Psychology, intersectionality, and social justice principles. I believe the problem is external to the person and healing happens when we honor the full context of a person’s life, including relationships, culture, and the systems that shape our experiences. My therapeutic approach is culturally attuned with a a specific interest in women's concerns throughout the life span. I have significant experience working with multiple cultures and identities with individuals and couples.
My overarching goal in therapy is to assist in alleviating human suffering and improving quality of life for my clients towards lasting transformative change. I do this by creating a warm and curious atmosphere with individuals and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds.
I also specialise in perinatal and postpartum mental health, supporting individuals and couples including LGBTQ+ folks through the transition into parenthood, and the emotional challenges that can arise during this transformative time. Having navigated postpartum challenges, I bring a lived experience to my work. I respond to inquiries within 24 hours.
