New to Grow
As a therapist, I’m passionate about helping people understand themselves on a deeper level and feel more grounded in their lives. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to explore how thoughts, emotions, and relationships influence well-being. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back, strengthen your coping tools, and create meaningful changes that support greater connection, confidence, and balance.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about what’s been feeling difficult, what you’d like to work toward, and any questions or concerns you have about the process. I’ll gather some background information to help me understand your experiences and current challenges, but the pace is always guided by your comfort level. We’ll also discuss how therapy works — including confidentiality, scheduling, and my approach — so you have a clear sense of what to expect moving forward. By the end of the session, we’ll begin identifying initial goals and next steps together. My goal is to have my clients leave the first meeting feeling heard, understood, and relieved to have taken the first step toward change.
My greatest strength is providing a grounded, calming presence that helps clients feel safe exploring even the most difficult emotions. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and compassionate lens, guiding clients toward insight, healing, and a deeper sense of self-trust.
My ideal client is someone who’s ready to better understand themselves and the patterns that keep them feeling stuck — even if they’re unsure whether therapy is the right step. They may be navigating anxiety, relationship stress, or a major life transition, and are seeking clarity, balance, or emotional relief. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling hesitant or uncertain, but open to exploring what change might look like for them. Together, we create a collaborative space to explore thoughts, emotions, and relationships while developing practical tools and insight that support long-term growth and well-being.
I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress and behavioral challenges. Through structured, evidence-based interventions, I support clients in developing practical coping skills, improving emotional regulation, and fostering more adaptive perspectives that align with their goals and values.
I incorporate Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) to help clients explore how their relationships, communication patterns, and social roles impact emotional well-being. Through a collaborative and supportive process, I assist clients in identifying relational patterns that may contribute to distress and work with them to build healthier ways of relating. This approach emphasizes improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening connections that support lasting emotional growth
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build psychological flexibility — the ability to stay present, open, and engaged with life even in the face of difficult thoughts or emotions. Through mindfulness, acceptance, and values-guided action, I support clients in reducing avoidance, deepening self-compassion, and aligning their daily choices with what truly matters to them.
