Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) practicing in the state of Maryland. I have my master's degree in a CACREP accredited program from Liberty University. I am a doctoral student pursuing a degree in Counseling Education and Supervision. I am trained in EMDR therapy. I am in the process of training to become an EMDR consultant. I am also training to become a certified trauma specialist. I have completed specialized training for treating adolescent and adult ADHD.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, clients can expect introductions and an extensive intake. The intake is necessary for gathering information about the client's needs to develop a treatment plan tailored to them.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider is providing support and validation without clients feeling judged. I am able to identify root causes and assist client with developing skills to manage symptoms.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I have been trained in EMDR for trauma and stressor related disorders. I have found it to be an effective treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD and OCD. Dozens of clients have found relief of their symptoms with this treatment modality and pairing it with CBT and DBT techniques to change thinking and reduce emotional reactions triggers.

Christian Counseling

I have specialized training with Christian Counseling. Clients choose whether or not to integrate biblical principles with counseling skills.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Learning about how thinking, emotions, and behaviors contribute to anxiety and depression symptoms and exacerbates ADHD and trauma symptoms has given hope to clients. Developing the skills necessary to challenge recurring thoughts and reframing them in to more positive realistic thoughts changes your thinking patterns to feel less anxiety and stress.
