New to Grow
I am a down-to-earth, compassionate therapist who believes that real, lasting change happens when people feel truly heard, understood, and accepted. I create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself—without judgment—and explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Humor is a natural part of how I connect with others, and I’ve found that it often helps lighten the emotional load, making it easier to open up. It’s not just about laughter—it’s about creating safety and trust so we can dive into those difficult conversations that can often feel overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating a specific challenge or simply seeking personal growth, I’m here to help you develop the tools to manage life’s ups and downs with more clarity, confidence, and resilience. Together, we’ll build a path that feels right for you, using a combination of insight, support, and yes, even a little laughter when it’s needed most.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our sessions, I aim to offer a space where you can be fully yourself—messy, thoughtful, uncertain, hopeful, or all of the above. Together, we uncover new perspectives, build practical tools, and strengthen your sense of agency so you can move forward with confidence, clarity, and a little more lightness in your everyday life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I listen and I also offer gentle direction and practical strategies so therapy feels meaningful beyond the session. I create a safe, authentic environment where people can explore themselves, develop new insights, and build the tools they need to live with more clarity and resilience.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work with clients who are managing anxiety, overwhelmed, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or the impact of past experiences that still show up in the present. My goal isn’t to “fix” or “erase” what someone has gone through, but to support them in learning how to navigate life with those experiences in a way that feels steadier, kinder, and more empowered.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have completed training in CBT techniques and have used them extensively with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, and stress-related challenges. I’ve found CBT particularly effective in helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. In my sessions, I incorporate CBT to help clients explore the connections between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Together, we work on reframing negative thinking patterns, strengthening problem-solving skills, and building practical tools that clients can use in daily life.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
Through my work in supportive and relational settings, I’ve developed a strong foundation in the principles of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and genuine presence. Clients have responded well to this approach, especially those seeking a safe space to explore their emotions without judgment. I use a person-centred approach to create a warm, supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel heard and valued. By focusing on their unique experiences and pace, I empower clients to access their own inner resources and move toward personal growth.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I’ve practiced mindfulness for several years and have integrated these techniques into therapy with clients dealing with stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and burnout. Training in guided meditation and grounding techniques has enriched my work in this area. I incorporate breathing exercises, grounding practices, and present-moment awareness to help clients reduce emotional overwhelm and reconnect with themselves. These techniques are woven into sessions and adapted to each client’s comfort level and goals.
Narrative
I have used narrative therapy principles to support clients in reframing the stories they tell about themselves—particularly those shaped by trauma, societal expectations, or long-standing negative beliefs. This approach has helped clients rediscover agency and self-compassion. I guide clients in exploring the stories that influence their lives and in identifying alternative narratives that are more empowering and authentic. This collaborative process helps clients shift perspective and build a stronger sense of identity and resilience.
