New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker passionate about supporting teens, young adults, and families as they navigate the challenges of everyday life. Adolescence can be a time of big transitions—managing school stress, friendships, family dynamics, identity, and the ups and downs of emotions. I provide a safe, supportive space where teens can feel heard, understood, and empowered to build resilience and confidence. I specialize in working with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, and relationship concerns. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on beneath the surface, uncover unhelpful patterns, and develop healthier ways of coping.
In our first session, my main goal is to get to know you and understand what brought you to therapy. I’ll invite you to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with about your experiences, your current situation, and what you’d like to work on. This is a no-judgment space—I’m here to listen, support you, and learn about your unique perspective. Together, we’ll begin to explore your goals for therapy and talk about how I can best support you moving forward.
What sets my approach apart is my focus on collaboration, practicality, and individualized care. I draw from evidence-based methods—such as CBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Structural Family Therapy—to tailor sessions to each client’s unique needs and goals. I emphasize building strengths, fostering resilience, and creating actionable strategies that lead to meaningful and lasting change. Clients often notice improvements not only in how they manage stress and emotions, but also in their relationships, self-confidence, and overall well-being.
I am best positioned to serve youth, young adults, and individuals who are navigating the challenges of everyday life, including school, work, relationships, and family stressors. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or uncertain about their next steps and who are seeking support to build coping skills, increase self-confidence, and find healthier ways of managing their emotions. My approach is collaborative and supportive, helping clients set realistic goals, tap into their strengths, and create lasting changes that improve their overall well-being.
I have extensive experience using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with clients across a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts, develop healthier coping skills, and make practical changes in their behavior. Sessions often include teaching clients how to recognize patterns between their thoughts, feelings, and actions, as well as practicing skills such as thought reframing, relaxation, and problem-solving. I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s needs, ensuring that the approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and focused on building lasting change.
I have experience using Structural Family Therapy (SFT) to help families improve communication, strengthen relationships, and establish healthy boundaries. In my practice, I focus on observing family interactions, identifying patterns that may be contributing to conflict, and working with the family to restructure roles and hierarchies. I use techniques such as joining, reframing, and boundary-setting to support families in creating more balanced and supportive dynamics. My goal is to help families develop healthier ways of relating that reduce stress and promote long-term stability.
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their ambivalence, strengthen their internal motivation, and make positive changes. In my practice, I focus on creating a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. I use open-ended questions, affirmations, reflective listening, and summarizing to guide clients in identifying their own reasons for change. This approach is especially effective when working with clients who feel stuck or hesitant, as it supports them in building confidence and taking meaningful steps toward their goals.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, resources, and goals, rather than focusing solely on problems. In my practice, I encourage clients to envision their preferred future and explore small, realistic steps they can take toward that vision. I incorporate techniques such as the miracle question, scaling, and highlighting past successes to build hope and motivation. This approach empowers clients to recognize their own capabilities and make meaningful progress in a shorter time frame.
