Hi, I look forward to helping individuals navigate through life's experiences. If you are looking for a skilled and compassionate provider who wants to see you grow and live a flourishing life. I am ready to serve. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who enjoys helping individuals navigate and overcome challenging life experiences. I am always humble and appreciate that people allow me to come alongside them during their most difficult experiences.
Hello, I'm a licensed clinical social worker with over a decade of experience in supporting people navigating unforeseen and unwelcome change. Some of the common emotional experiences of the people whom I serve include coping with feelings of uncertainty, anxiety, fear, sadness, grief, and loss.
My background is with people impacted by cancer. I have worked on the east and west coasts in hospitals and outpatient clinical settings.
A life-threatening illness can impact overall quality of life including physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. My area of interest is to support people who are facing various life transitions and stressors – whether it be a conflict in a relationship, a concern at work, or worries about the future.
It is completely “normal” not to know exactly what it is that brings you to therapy, to know what it is that you are feeling, or what, if anything, you would like to be different in your life.
With an open mind and some patience, together, we can explore what matters most to you, and what might promote a sense of meaning, purpose, and fulfillment in your life.
If you can read this, you made the first step. Congratulations. Seeking therapy is hard. Most people delay and tell themselves that whatever they are experiencing must be the way life is. Chances are if you have reached the point to begin exploring therapy, counseling can help make your life better. While therapy is often hard, it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience as well. I believe that you cannot laugh without a combination of insight and relief. You can expect some humor in most sessions.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over 20 years. In that time I have worked with men, women, teens, and families on a wide variety of issues. Sometimes that work simply involved helping them through a particular incident or life change that overwhelmed them. Other times our work together centered around longstanding issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, and addiction.
In addition to traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, I also offer a fourth-wave therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I have found this technique to be highly effective in helping people with trauma and or anxiety. Our minds and bodies are connected. Anyone who has experienced a tight neck and shoulders or an upset stomach when they were stressed knows this. EFT uses acupressure (done by the client) and cognitive interventions to provide fast and effective relief.
With over 20 years of clinical experience, I am ready to help you through the challenges you are facing. In addition to counseling, I also provide vocational testing, coaching, and consulting.
I provide both Christian and secular counseling depending on the needs of my clients.
For clients with high level confidentiality concerns due to corporate or clearance issues, there are ways we can do EFT without you ever speaking out loud about events.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, who has served Southern Maryland and the DC metropolitan area for over 20 years. A Nationally Board Certified Counselor, and a member of the American Counseling Association, and fully insured through HPSO. As a former Law Enforcement Officer, I am passionate about assisting those who have served as first responders and in the military; treating PTSD, and a focus on vicarious or secondary trauma. I also have a passion for working with children and adults diagnosed with ADHD. This often misdiagnosed and under-reported neurodevelopment disorder is stigmatized and misrepresented as being “lazy” or “unmotivated”, while understating the extreme barriers that contribute to one’s ability to meet societal norms of being goal or task oriented and organized. I love to help clients see the magic of their A-Typical Brains and bring light to all of the various challenges that a person with ADHD encounters in day to day life. Learning to leverage their differences as an asset and not a deficit by assisting them in creating opportunities for growth and success; through development of adaptive coping skills

I earned my Master’s in Education from Concordia University of Portland in 2015, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University in 2018. Having training in both fields has been invaluable — it allows me to be creative and flexible in my approach, integrating educational strategies with therapeutic interventions to enhance understanding, growth, and lasting change.
I have worked with individuals across the lifespan — from early childhood through older adulthood — and in a wide variety of settings, including homes, schools, hospitals, jails, courts, community agencies, and offices. I also have extensive experience providing teletherapy in several formats, ensuring accessible and personalized care for clients wherever they are.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a case manager and volunteered for many years with at-risk youth and individuals with developmental disabilities. Over the course of my seven years as a therapist, I have provided both individual and group counseling, helping clients navigate a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges.

Well look no further!

Sasha empowers individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their relationships and themselves. Research shows that unhealthy relationships can cause both emotional and physical stress, whereas healthy relationships can enhance and improve overall well-being.
Sometimes therapy can be hard. It can bring up stressful emotions or deep thoughts that take some time to process, challenge who we are, or even upset us! Or sometimes we just get so caught up and busy in life that we forget that we deserve to make time for ourselves. Sasha is here for whatever you need. She hopes to hear from you soon!
My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and I'm a board-certified Psychotherapist. I attended St Joseph College. I'm happy to help you today with any of your concerns. I enjoy empowering people and digging out their strengths. I don't ask fish to fly, neither do I ask birds to swim. I respect everyone's strengths and help my client recognize them. I love to highlight my client's strengths. I offer a safe, warm, therapeutic, judgment-free space for Adults (18+) and Older Adults (65+). I am sorry, but I do not accept clients who pay in cash. Also, every late cancellation or no-show accrues a late charge fee.
It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is no longer beneficent, services are no longer required, counseling no longer serves the client's needs and interests, or Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT limits do not allow the provision of further counseling services.
It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that our professional relationship will be terminated after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client. Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc).
NO COUPLE THERAPY OR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, PLEASE!
Hi, I’m Dr. Josh Gonsher, a licensed clinical psychologist with a warm, down-to-earth approach to healing. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, worry, and stress—not by fighting their symptoms, but by creating a new internal landscape where those struggles no longer take center stage.
My approach is grounded in Contextual Therapy. I don’t just help clients “fix” thoughts or behaviors—I work with them to build a more meaningful life, one where old patterns and problems naturally begin to lose their grip. It’s about shifting the frame, not just adjusting the picture.
I offer a space that’s collaborative, gently challenging, and deeply respectful of your unique path. You don’t need to “have it all figured out”—just a willingness to begin. Whether you’re dealing with social anxiety, overthinking, burnout, or a general sense of feeling stuck, my goal is to help you move toward a version of life that you choose, one that often feels more grounded, spacious, and aligned with whom you truly are.

I am the wife of a Retired Combat Veteran and a mother to four beautiful children. I understand the complexities of being separated from your spouse for extended periods and feeling alone in the relationship and raising the children. Even the most well-prepared and successful person can find themselves wondering how things became so complicated, messy, or challenging, and feel at a loss when it comes to what to do to put the pieces back together. People have been shaped and molded by their past experiences, both good and bad. Often, people feel drawn to focus on the bad experiences, leading to pain and struggles of many kinds.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my listing. If you've come this far, you're on the brink of an important decision--and what a difference the right choice can make. As a Social Worker, I've made a difference in people's lives for nearly 15 years -- helping children, adolescents, adults, and families to overcome life/situational problems and gain emotional freedom. Everyone wants quick relief; therapy is a process, which requires some hard work from the individuals who are participating in therapy.
My goal is to foster an interactive therapeutic experience, providing support and practical feedback to effectively address personal life challenges. I offer a personalized approach tailored to your needs. With compassion and understanding, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns and negative perceptions that are holding you back while we build on your strengths to help you attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing. As such this will begin the process of healing, growth, and self-empowerment. Our sessions will have a single focus -- helping you to rise above your current obstacles . . . whether that means conquering emotional issues, overcoming blocking beliefs, or repairing important relationships in your life.

I respect your faith and denominational differences. I don’t have an agenda nor am I preachy.
