I am a compassionate, supportive, and genuine professional who believes everyone can grow, heal, and create meaningful change in their life. I bring strong communication, active listening, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills to my work, while creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, respected, and understood. My therapeutic approach is client-centered and collaborative, focusing on meeting each person where they are while helping them identify their strengths, understand challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward their goals. I believe therapy is not a one-sided relationship but rather a partnership, and I encourage clients to take an active role in their growth and personal development. My ideal client is someone ready for change, open to self-reflection, and willing to take steps toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

First session

From the first therapy session, my goal is to help clients identify what they hope to accomplish through the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy should be intentional and collaborative, so I encourage clients to explore what brought them to counseling, what they want to change, and what they hope their lives will look and feel like as they move forward. Together, we will identify meaningful goals and develop a clearer understanding of the changes they would like to make. As the therapeutic relationship progresses, we can explore and adjust these goals as needed to reflect the client’s growth and changing needs.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths as a counselor is leading with empathy. I believe that circumstances can change, and that any of us can find ourselves in situations we never expected. This perspective reminds me to approach each client with humility, grace, compassion, and without judgment. I recognize that every individual is different and that people experience different seasons in their lives; therefore, I do not believe in taking a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. I intentionally observe, listen, acknowledge, and seek to understand what each client is experiencing so that I can respond to their unique needs. My empathy allows me to look beyond the presenting problem and connect with the person behind it. I believe this is what makes my approach unique: I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel seen, heard, respected, and safe enough to be honest about their experiences. My goal is not to tell clients who they should be, but to walk alongside them, help them gain awareness, recognize their strengths, and support them as they navigate their current season and work toward meaningful change.

Ideal clients

My ideal client recognizes they may need support navigating life's challenges and transitions and is ready to make meaningful changes. I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking greater clarity, purpose, and balance while learning to better understand themselves and their relationships. I support clients experiencing concerns such as postpartum depression, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, work-life balance, marriage and relationship challenges, and parenting concerns. I believe that asking for help is a sign of strength, and I strive to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can openly express their thoughts and emotions. My ideal client is willing to explore their experiences, gain new awareness, identify their strengths, and take intentional steps toward healing, growth, and positive change. Whether they are navigating a difficult season, adjusting to a new role, or feeling stuck and searching for purpose, I am honored to walk alongside them as they work toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.

Treatment methods

Faith based therapy

I use an eclectic therapeutic approach because I believe no single counseling method can meet every client’s needs. Each person is unique, and therapy should be tailored to their individual goals, experiences, beliefs, and circumstances. I may incorporate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, faith-based counseling, and other evidence-based approaches when appropriate and consistent with the client’s beliefs and preferences. I believe a person’s belief system can be an important source of strength, hope, and resilience. My goal is to meet clients where they are and provide a safe, respectful, and individualized space that supports awareness, healing, growth, and meaningful change.
