Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first counseling session would likely feel like: A conversation, not an interrogation A space to decompress and be heard Exploring what’s been weighing on you Identifying goals, stressors, and strengths Building trust, comfort, and connection The focus is usually on: Understanding your story What brought you in What support you need right now Creating a path forward together You don’t have to have everything figured out before you start; first sessions are about meeting you where you are.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths include creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow. I utilize a client-centered and strength-based approach while integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies. What stands out about my therapeutic approach is my ability to balance compassion with accountability while helping clients build insight, resilience, and confidence. I focus on creating realistic, goal-oriented interventions tailored to each client’s unique experiences and needs. My approach emphasizes emotional awareness, effective communication, stress management, and long-term wellness, with the goal of helping clients achieve meaningful and sustainable change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve individuals, couples, service members, veterans, and families who are seeking support with stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and depression. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, disconnected, or challenged by balancing personal, professional, and family responsibilities. With extensive experience supporting military populations and high-stress environments, I understand the unique pressures associated with leadership demands, deployments, transitions, work-life balance, and relationship strain. I also support clients navigating communication difficulties, identity changes, burnout, grief, and personal growth. My ideal clients are those who are open to self-exploration, building healthier coping skills, improving emotional awareness, and creating meaningful change. Whether clients are seeking clarity, healing, improved relationships, or greater confidence and resilience, I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel empowered to grow and move forward.
