New to Grow
I am a LCSW-C (License Certified Social Worker - Clinical) in Maryland. I have been a social worker for 16 years. I have experience working in the fields of child welfare, education, and mental health. Through the years, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I provide individual therapy that blends warmth and practical coping strategies, helping clients strengthen emotional regulation, build healthier relationships, and feel more confident navigating daily life.
In our first session, we'll go over the basics: -the presenting problem (why you're seeking therapy) -family and social history -work and education history -mental health and any substance abuse history This will give me the big picture of YOU, which will then inform the direction of our sessions.
My therapeutic approach is relationship-centered (I work collaboratively with my clients), forward-focused and practical (I help clients make movement, not just process), and is provided in an inclusive and safe space for the work being done.
I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical in Maryland with extensive experience providing individual therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning across school and community settings. I specialize in helping clients work through anxiety, depression, trauma, family stressors, and interpersonal challenges using a strengths-based approach. My background in both clinical therapy and systems-level support has given me a strong foundation in coordinating care, advocating for client needs, and developing clear, actionable treatment goals. In telehealth, I focus on creating an emotionally safe space where clients feel guided yet empowered to take an active role in their progress. I value flexibility, transparency, and practical skill-building, and I enjoy supporting clients through meaningful, measurable change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
When meeting with clients, I guide clients to identify unhelpful thoughts, challenge/reframe those thoughts, and change behaviors that reinforce distress.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
When focusing on solutions, I help my clients identify what has worked well in the past, what is going well in the present, and what their hopes are for the future. Together we'll identify strengths and use those strengths as footholds for next steps for their future goals.
