About me

I believe therapy should do more than give you a place to talk, it should help you understand what's not working and actually do something about it. I work with adults and couples dealing with communication problems, relationship conflict, anxiety, trust concerns, life transitions, and feeling stuck in patterns that keep repeating. My style is warm and conversational, but I'm also active in the process. I'll ask questions, challenge you when needed, and help you turn what we discuss into practical changes outside of therapy.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

By the end of the first session, I want us both to understand three things: what brought you here, what may be keeping the problem going, and what we’re going to start working on. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before you come in. The first session is really about getting to know you, understanding what you need, and beginning to create a clear direction together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Clients often tell me they appreciate that I balance compassion with honesty and practical guidance. While creating a supportive space where you feel heard and understood is important, I also believe therapy should help you move forward. Together, we'll identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical tools to navigate challenges more effectively, and create realistic strategies you can apply between sessions. I strive to make every session purposeful, engaging, and focused on meaningful progress. My goal is not simply to help you feel better during our conversations, but to help you build the insight, confidence, and skills needed to create lasting change in your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults, couples, and families who are ready for more than just a place to vent. Many of my clients appear to have everything under control on the outside, yet privately struggle with anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, unresolved past experiences, or feeling stuck in patterns they can't seem to break. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected in your relationships, or uncertain about your next chapter, we'll work together to better understand what's driving those challenges and develop practical strategies that create meaningful change. You don't need to have all the answers before starting therapy. You simply need a willingness to be open, honest, and committed to your growth. I also enjoy working with couples and families who want to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict more effectively, and create healthier ways of relating to one another. My approach is collaborative, structured, and focused on helping you make progress that extends beyond our sessions and into your everyday life.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a primary treatment approach for many years with adults. I use CBT to help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, and develop practical coping skills to improve mood, reduce anxiety, and strengthen decision-making. I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s developmental level and often integrate it with trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches. Over time, I’ve seen consistent success in helping clients build insight, resilience, and long-term emotional regulation skills.

Couples Counseling

I have extensive experience providing couples counseling to partners navigating communication challenges, trust concerns, conflict patterns, and life transitions. In my work, I help couples identify unhealthy interaction cycles, improve emotional awareness, and develop healthier communication and conflict-resolution skills. I integrate evidence-based approaches while tailoring sessions to each couple’s unique dynamic and goals. My focus is on creating a balanced, supportive space where both partners feel heard, respected, and empowered to strengthen their relationship.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I utilize Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify strengths, clarify goals, and build practical solutions rather than remaining stuck in problems. This approach is especially effective for clients seeking focused, goal-oriented work around specific challenges. I guide clients in recognizing what is already working, amplifying existing successes, and developing actionable steps toward change. By emphasizing strengths and forward movement, I help clients experience measurable progress in a relatively short period of time while reinforcing long-term resilience.

Trauma-Focused CBT

My background includes training and previous certification in Trauma-Focused CBT. I bring that trauma-informed perspective into my work with adults by helping clients understand how past experiences can shape current emotions, relationships, beliefs, and behavioral patterns.

My husband and I are in a space where counseling is needed to move forward in a healthy relationship. Mr. Fabius is patient, actively listens and asks questions from both parties before responding. In a short span of time, an hour, his responses are considerate, honest, and heartfelt. I utterly enjoyed our appointment and feel he is well-equipped to assist my husband and me in our journey of getting back on track.
