Welcome! My name is Saqueita Russell. I am a therapist passionate about supporting adults as they navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, enhance self-care, and improve their relationships. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs. Whether you're struggling with overwhelming stress, seeking balance in your daily life, or working through relationship concerns, I’m here to offer guidance and a safe space for growth. Together, we’ll work toward finding clarity, building resilience, and fostering a healthier, more fulfilling life.
During the first session is when the fostering of a healthy therapeutic relationship begins. Building a healthy rapport is essential to the treatment process. A safe space will be offered to assess history, discuss presenting concerns, and to establish therapy goals. The initial visit is when the introduction, and expectations are set. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and plan for future sessions. Establishing treatment goals can allow us to work toward them whether they are to develop practical tools and strategies to better manage anxiety, reducing its impact on daily life. Perhaps to gain a deeper understanding of triggers and how to respond more effectively, fostering a greater sense of control and calm. Through my guidance, clients will learn techniques to improve their mood and regulate their emotions. They will become more resilient and more confident in handling stress, sadness, or frustration, ultimately achieving a more balanced emotional life. Clients will learn communication skills, boundary-setting techniques, and strategies to navigate relationship challenges. Whether in romantic, familial, or social relationships, they will leave therapy with a better ability to connect with others and resolve conflicts.
My ability to create a non-judgmental, compassionate space helps clients feel safe, accepted, and understood. These qualities are essential in building trust and promoting openness in therapy. With 8 years of clinical practice, I have a deep understanding of a wide range of client concerns and effective therapeutic approaches. My experience gives me the insight to handle complex cases with confidence. My passion for reducing anxiety, improving mood, enhancing self-esteem, and fostering healthier relationships is a strong asset. This specialization allows me to provide focused, tailored care in areas that deeply impact many clients’ lives. As someone working with self-esteem and relationships, I tend to excel in helping clients express themselves and improve their communication. This strengthens both my rapport with clients and their ability to thrive in relationships outside therapy.
I am an eclectic therapist and have significant experience in supporting clients with anxiety, relationship concerns, and other varying mental health concerns. CBT allows me to support clients with making connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. As a clinician I offer a safe space to express and explore feelings. I assess needs, teach coping skills, support with goal setting, and support with identifying the root of the presenting concerns.
I have had much success in supporting my clients while utilizing the Person-Centered modality in treatment. This modality has allowed me to foster a collaborative and safe environment for my clients. This humanistic therapeutic modality supports personal growth, authenticity, and a judge-free opportunity to achieve one's goals.
