New to Grow
I'm Annetta Dunklin, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through life's challenges. I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe, heard, and understood without judgment. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional stress. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person's unique needs. Together, we will build on your strengths, explore obstacles that may be holding you back, and develop practical tools to help you create meaningful and lasting change. Whether you are seeking healing from past experiences, support through a difficult season, or personal growth, I am committed to helping you move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and hope.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and my goal is to help you feel comfortable from the very beginning. Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a connection based on trust, openness, and respect. I'll invite you to share what has brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope life might look like as things begin to improve. As we talk, I'll be listening not only for the challenges you're facing but also for your strengths, values, and the experiences that have shaped who you are. You don't have to have all the answers or know exactly where to start. We'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I view therapy as a collaborative relationship where we work together to help you better understand yourself, navigate life's difficulties, and create meaningful change. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the journey ahead.
I bring warmth, empathy, and a genuine commitment to understanding each client's unique story. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to build strong therapeutic relationships where clients feel safe, valued, and comfortable being themselves. I believe meaningful change begins with feeling truly seen and heard, and I work to create a space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of judgment. What makes my approach stand out is the balance I bring between connection and clinical expertise in the counseling process. With more than 20 years of experience, I recognize that no two people are alike, so I tailor therapy to each client's individual needs, strengths, and goals. I work collaboratively with clients, helping them gain insight, develop practical coping skills, and navigate life's challenges while honoring their personal experiences and resilience. My goal is not only to help clients overcome difficulties but also to help them feel supported, empowered, and hopeful throughout their journey.
I am best positioned to support children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, and emotional or behavioral concerns. Many of the clients I work with feel overwhelmed, stuck, misunderstood, or uncertain about how to move forward, yet they have a desire to better understand themselves and create positive change. I strive to provide a compassionate, supportive space where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, building on their strengths, and developing healthier ways of coping. Together, we work toward goals such as improving emotional well-being, strengthening relationships, increasing self-confidence, processing difficult life experiences, and creating a more balanced and fulfilling life.
