LCSW-C, 24 years of experience
New to Grow
My name is Trisha Brown and in the 24 years I have been practicing, I've had a variety of professional experiences working with clients. Working in various settings such as schools, hospitals, child welfare, detention centers and private practice, I have been able to support diverse groups of people through their life journey. I love learning about you, sitting with you, and believe I can skillfully support you wanting to also learn about yourself through my practice and work alongside you resolving old wounds.
Whether a challenge or a desire for growth brings you here, my aim is to ensure you feel supported and understood. In our initial session, we will focus on exploring your unique journey, offering valuable insights and practical guidance for positive growth. Together, we can cultivate skills that foster healing and lead to a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
As your guide in this process, I employ a psychodynamic therapy approach. Rather than directing specific actions, I help you gain insight into the development of behavioral patterns and thought processes that have shaped who you are today. In our first session, we will begin exploring your unique story, with the ultimate goal of understanding these foundational dynamics. Through this collaborative insight, you are empowered to determine your own best course of action and decide how positive, lasting change is possible, cultivating skills that foster healing and lead to a more peaceful and fulfilling existence.
With 24 years of experience across schools, hospitals, child welfare, detention centers, and private practice, I bring a compassionate, grounded approach. Using evidence-based treatments, we’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and early relationships to better understand your current self. I see myself as a guide as I help explore your mental and physical well being by providing psycho-dynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psycho education. When we start our work together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, patterns of behavior and early relational experiences that contribute to your perspective of self

For specific concerns, I provide cognitive behavioral therapy to address ways of thinking about those concerns and support adjusting behaviors to manage how those thought interfere with daily functioning.
